Abstract

管のねじ継手部のバリを除去する際の火花の発生や粉塵の飛散を抑止し得るバリ除去方法及び装置を提供する。本発明に係るバリ除去装置（１００）は、管（Ｐ）に形成されたねじ継手部（ＰＪ）のバリを除去する装置であって、回転させながらねじ継手部（ＰＪ）に押し当ててねじ継手部（ＰＪ）を研削するための回転研削体（１０）と、少なくとも回転研削体（１０）とねじ継手部（ＰＪ）との接触部分（Ｃ）に液体（Ｌ）を供給する液体供給手段（２０）とを備える。回転研削体（１０）は、外周縁が略円形状の複数の研磨層（１１）を接着性樹脂を介して積層し固着することにより形成される。研磨層（１１）は、表面に研磨材を付着させた細長シート状の基材（１１１）を渦巻き状に巻回して接着性樹脂で固着することにより形成される。液体供給手段（２０）は、供給後の液体（Ｌ）を回収して濾過し、濾過後の液体（Ｌ）を少なくとも接触部分（Ｃ）に再び供給する。
