Abstract

 食塩等を含む厨芥ゴミやPVC等、塩素を含有する広範囲な可燃廃棄物を再生原料として使用し、既存の石炭焚燃焼設備で使用する石炭の代替固形燃料の製造方法及び製造装置を提供する。食塩等を含む一般厨芥ゴミやPVC等、塩素を含有する可燃廃棄物を、この廃棄物単独で、或いは、塩素を含まない他の可燃廃棄物と共に熱分解させて炭化させ、大部分の塩素含有成分を炭化物から分離し、炭化物中に無機塩として残留する塩素を、炭化物を水洗することにより水に溶解させて取り除き、斯く得られた塩素含有量の極めて低い炭化物と、塩素を実質的に含まない廃プラスチックとの混合割合を適宜調整することによって、所望の発熱量の固形燃料を製造する。
