Abstract

 安定な膜ろ過運転を行う際の障害となるろ過水配管内に滞留する空気を、逆洗開始時に確実にろ過水配管から排出することができ、さらに、配管内の空気排出時における洗浄水の浪費を大幅に減少させることができる膜分離装置を提供することを目的とし、処理槽内に浸漬させる複数本の浸漬型膜モジュールと、該膜モジュールのろ過水取出口から延びるろ過水配管とを備えてなる膜分離装置において、前記ろ過水配管の途中には、各々の浸漬型膜モジュールから延びるろ過水配管をまとめた幹配管を設け、該幹配管に排気用の上向き分岐管と排気手段を設けるとともに、該排気手段の下方側の前記幹配管に、上下方向に延びた、その他のろ過水配管の部分より内径が太い太配管の部分を設ける。
