Abstract

La présente invention concerne un acier de décolletage à faible teneur en sulfure de carbone qui contient C : 0,02 % à moins de 0,20 %, Si : plus de 0,10 % à 1,5 %, Mn : 0,8 à 2,2 %, P : 0,005 à 0,25 %, S : plus de 0,40 % à 0,8 %, O : < 0,010 %, N : ≤ 0,025 %, et Ca : 0,0003 à 0,005 %, le reste étant constitué de Fe et d'impuretés et les impuretés contenant du Al < 0,005 %, Mg < 0,0003 %, Ti ≤ 0,002 %, Zr ≤ 0,002 % et REM < 0,0003 % et les relations : 2,0 < Mn/S < 4,0, et 0,0005 ≤ 10 Ca x Si ≤ 0,050 sont satisfaites. Cet acier présente une rugosité de surface de fini inférieure à celle d'un acier de décolletage à faible teneuren carbone classique sans Pb et d'excellentes capacités d'élimination de copeaux dans le processus de découpe de fini par tournage avec un outil au carbure. L'acier de décolletage à faible teneur en carbone peut contenir un ou plusieurs éléments parmi Te ≤ 0,05 %, Bi ≤ 0,15 %, et Sn ≤ 0,5 % et/ou un ou plusieurs des éléments Cr ≤ 2,0 %, Mo ≤ 0,5 %, V ≤ 0,3 %, et Nb ≤ 0,3 %.
