Abstract

 本発明は光学活性1,2-ジオール類の製法に使用される酵素、該酵素をコードする遺伝子およびそれらを利用した光学活性1,2-ジオール類の製法を提供する。具体的には不斉酸化酵素をコードする配列番号1の第112塩基~第2184塩基を含む遺伝子および配列番号5のアミノ酸配列を有する不斉酸化酵素を提供する。また、本発明の不斉酸化酵素を1,2-ジオール類の両エナンチオマー混合物もしくは一方のエナンチオマーと接触させて、他方のエナンチオマーを得る、光学活性1,2-ジオール類の製法を提供する。
