Abstract

The invention relates to a modular burial system based on the use of large stackable concrete blocks containing cavities serving as burial chambers. The blocks are used to construct large vaults and all of the walls of said vaults are filled with tombs. Individual vaults or groups of vaults form a cemetery. The shape and dimensions of the blocks allows tall funerary monuments to be built, such as pyramids, containing networks comprising numerous walls and passages and having sufficient dimensions to house millions of chambers. The grandeur of these monuments ensures that they will endure over time.

1.- Modular burial system characterized by using large blocks of concrete, or other resistant materials (1) (figures 1 and 2), with approximate dimensions of 2x1x1 m, which have cavities (5) with sufficient capacity for contain ashes, bone remains and mummified bodies, and have closure caps (2) which contain the necessary identification data. The blocks are of three formats and allow the dry construction of walls (figure 3) (IA, IB and IC), without the need for any grappling paste or elements of union between blocks or auxiliary construction that contains them, by superposition direct from them and being fixed only by the action of gravity (cyclopean construction). The wall layout (6) (Figure 4) is parallel to each level and perpendicular to those of contiguous levels, leaving between them corridors (7) that allow people to access all the niches. The width of the corridors (7) is half that of the walls (6) so that at the intersection between the walls of the different levels are formed a large section resistant core, which allows high-rise constructions, which in the case of the preferred construction of a stepped pyramid (figures 5 and 6) it is easily superior to 200 m, with capacity for millions of niches.
