Abstract

 活性汚泥処理にあたって、排水に含まれる毛や繊維、紙片などが中空糸膜モジュールの多孔性中空糸膜を束ねてしまったり、或いは中空糸膜と周辺の枠材などとの間で絡まり、或いは引っ掛かったりするのを防止して、中空糸膜モジュールの耐久性を確保できる膜ろ過ユニットを提供する。膜ろ過ユニット(5) は、多数の多孔性中空糸膜(10a) を並列して得られるシート状の複数枚の中空糸膜エレメント(10)を所定の間隔をおいて平行に列設されてなる中空糸膜モジュール(9) と、同中空糸膜モジュール(9) の下方に配され、同中空糸膜モジュールの下端に向けて微小な気泡を放出し、同中空糸膜モジュールの内部空間と外部空間との間で上下方向に旋回する気液混合流を発生させる散気発生装置(15)とを備えている。この膜ろ過ユニット(5) が、前記混合流の一部に前記糸膜モジュール(9) の多孔性中空糸膜間及びシート状の中空糸膜エレメント間に強制的な流れを形成して、気液混合流中に混在するし渣を中空糸膜モジュールから外へと排除するし渣排除機構を有している。
