Abstract

 ステアリングシャフトとステアリングギヤ機構とを夫々自在継手を介して連結する中間シャフトを備え、前記自在継手の一方のヨークと中間シャフトの軸部とを締付け、先端部側から中間シャフトの外周面に係合する小径部及び大径部を順に形成した段付きボルトを備え、中間シャフトは、軸部の外周面に軸方向と交差する方向に延長して形成され、段付きボルトの大径部に係合するボルト係合凹部と、端部外周面に形成された抜け止め凸部とを有し、段付きボルトの小径部とボルト係合凹部に隣接する外周面に係合させることにより仮止めし、段付きボルトの大径部と前記ボルト係合凹部とを係合させることにより本締めする。
