Abstract

　　【課題】プリンタの管理者以外の者がプリンタの特別条件の仕様の設定を変更できないようにする。 　　【解決手段】プリンタ制御部との間で特別条件の設定に関し情報のアクセスに使用できる第１のソフトウエアと、この第１のソフトウエアとの間だけで情報交換が可能に構築され第１のソフトウエアと共同して前記特別条件の設定変更を行うために用意された第２のソフトウエアとを備えている。コンピュータ上で第１と第２のソフトウエアを起動し、第１のソフトウエアにプリンタ制御部の特別条件設定情報を取り込み、第２のソフトウエアで第１のソフトウエアで取り込んだ特別条件設定情報を変更し変更した特別条件設定情報を第１のソフトウエアに戻す。第１のソフトウエアは第２のソフトウエアによって戻された変更された特別条件設定情報をプリンタ制御部に書き込む。第１のソフトウエアは、プリンタ制御部から取り込んだパスワードと第２のソフトウエアから戻された変更された特別条件設定情報に付加されたパスワードとを比較し、同一でないときは変更された特別条件設定情報のプリンタ制御部への書き込みを不可とする
