Abstract

 検出器を、リング状または多角形状に密にまたは部分的に配置した複数の検出器リングを、体軸方向にオープンスペースを空けて配置し、該オープンスペースを隔てた検出器リングを結ぶ一部または全ての検出器ペアにて同時計数測定を行い、3次元画像再構成を行うことで、検出器リング間のオープンスペースを断層像として画像化する。これにより、画質劣化を抑えながらオープンスペースを確保して、PET検査中の患者に対して、ガントリ外部からのアクセスを容易にすると共に、癌治療の粒子線ビームの照射や、X線CTスキャンを可能にすることができる。
