Abstract

 磁性を有する金属材料に局部的に存在する高硬度部を確実に検出可能であると共に、高硬度部を除去するための手入れ処理を施した後に、該高硬度部が除去されているか否かを確実に確認することができる渦流検査方法を提供する。  本発明に係る渦流検査方法は、金属材料Pに誘起された渦電流を一対の検出コイル11a、11bで検出して得られる差動信号に基づいて、局部的な高硬度部の有無を検知し、金属材料に誘起された渦電流を前記一対の検出コイルの内のいずれか一方で検出して得られる絶対値信号に基づいて、前記検知した局部的な高硬度部の位置を特定することを特徴とする。
