Abstract

 レーザ加工装置10は、レーザ発振器12と、レーザ加工ヘッド16と、レーザ発振器で発振されたレーザ光をレーザ加工ヘッドに伝送する光ファイバ14と、レーザ加工ヘッドにアシストガスの酸素を供給するアシストガス供給部302を有する。光ファイバは、クラッドを伝搬する光を除去する除去部30又はその光を減衰する減衰部を備えている。光ファイバ14のコア20からクラッド122に漏れ出た光36は、除去部30の光吸収体34で吸収される、または光透過部材38を通じて外部に放出される。したがって、加工ヘッドから出射されたレーザを用いて切断された金属の切断面は、凹凸の無い高品質の面である。
