Abstract

 隔壁で囲まれた軸方向に延びる多数のセルを有するセラミックハニカム本体と、前記セラミックハニカム本体の外周面に形成された外周壁とからなるセラミックハニカム構造体であって、前記外周壁は、セラミックハニカム本体の外周面に位置するセルによって形成された軸方向に延びる凹溝に平均粒径が4~150 nmのコロイダルシリカを含むコート材を塗布してなり、塗布した前記コート材を誘電乾燥することを特徴とするセラミックハニカム構造体の製造方法。
