Abstract

主体金具の筒孔（５９）の先端側を軸線Ｏ方向前方へ突出させて形成した周壁延長部５７は、突出状に形成された突出部（５７０～５７２）と、突出部（５７０～５７２）間をそれぞれ結ぶ連結部（５７４）とから構成される。インジェクタ（２２０）の噴射口（２２１）から噴射される燃料は、突出部（５７０）に衝突して貴金属チップ（９０）と接地電極（３０）の先端部（３１）との間の火花放電間隙に直接到達しにくい。突出部（５７０）に衝突しなかった燃料は突出部（５７１，５７２）に衝突し、燃料のうち液滴状の未気化燃料は突出部（５７１，５７２）に付着し、気化燃料は分離されて火花放電間隙の周囲へ向け反射される。
