Abstract

 非硬化部の疲労強度を向上させた部品を備えることにより、高い耐久性が確保された車輪用軸受装置(1)は、外方部材(10)と、内方部材(20)と、ころ(50)とを備えている。内方部材(20)は、鋼からなり、車輪取り付けフランジ(31)が形成されたハブ輪(30)を含んでいる。ハブ輪(30)は、焼入硬化されることにより、50HRC以上に硬化された硬化部(39)と、硬化部(39)以外の部位である非硬化部(33)とを有している。そして、非硬化部(33)を構成する鋼のフェライト面積率は、3%以下である。
