Abstract
Es wird ein Verfahren zum Verflüssigen eines Kohlenwasserstoff-reichen Stromes, insbesondere eines Erdgasstromes, wobei die Verflüssigung des Kohlenwasserstoffreichen Stromes gegen eine aus drei Kältemittelgemischkreisläufen bestehende Kältemittelgemischkreislaufkaskade erfolgt und wobei der erste Kältemittelgemischkreislauf der Vorkühlung, der zweite Kältemittelgemischkreislauf der Verflüssigung und der dritte Kältemittelgemischkreislauf der Unterkühlung des Kohlenwasserstoff-reichen Stromes dient, beschrieben. Erfindungsgemäß: a) wird das Kältemittelgemisch jedes Kältemittelgemischkreislaufes auf lediglich einem Druckniveau verdampft, b) erfolgt der der Vorkühlung des Kohlenwasserstoff-reichen Stromes dienende Wärmetausch zwischen dem Kohlenwasserstoff-reichen Strom (1, 1') und dem Kältemittelgemisch (6) des Vorkühlkreislaufes in zwei oder mehreren baugleichen, parallel angeordneten Wärmetauschern (E1, EV), c) erfolgt die Verdichtung des Kältemittelgemisches (8, 8') des Vorkühlkreislaufes mittels eines Verdichters vom Double-flow-Typ (V1) und d) erfolgt die Verdichtung des Kältemittelgemisches (13, 13') des Verflüssigungskreislaufes in wenigstens zwei Stufen (V2, V2') erfolgt, wobei die Verdichtung in der ersten Stufe mittels eines Verdichters vom Double-flow-Typ (V2).
