Abstract

【解決手段】光ピックアップ装置は、出射光ビームを少なくとも3本の光ビームに分岐する回折格子12を備えている。回折格子12は、光情報記録媒体のトラックの接線に対して平行な第1方向の分割線D1及びD2により3つの領域に分割されている。第2の領域12Bは、第1方向の分割線D3と第1方向と交差する第2方向の分割線D4とにより4つのサブブロックに分割され、対角に配置されたサブブロック同士は位相が互いに等しく、隣接するサブブロック同士は位相が略180度異なり、第1の領域12Aと第2の領域12Bの各サブブロックとは位相が略90度異なり、第1の領域12Aと第3の領域12Cとは位相が略180度異なる。
