Definitions
- the present invention relates to a technique for measuring the water level with high accuracy even when shaking is generated in a liquid stored in a liquid tank.
- Patent Document 1 As a water level measuring device for measuring the level of liquid stored in a liquid tank, as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11311561 (Patent Document 1), a pair of devices arranged at predetermined intervals. Capacitance changing force between electrodes A technique to indirectly measure the water level has been proposed. In addition, as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2006-170927 (Patent Document 2), as a water level measuring device that measures the water level using other principles, the position force water level of the float floating on the liquid surface is directly measured. A measurement technique has been proposed.

- Patent Document 2 Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2006-170927
- the water level can be measured accurately when the liquid level is stable, but the water level fluctuates up and down when the liquid level is shaking. It was very difficult to decide which fluctuating value should be adopted as the water level.
- the liquid level may fluctuate irregularly due to multi-directional acceleration acting on the liquid, which may cause this problem to appear prominently.
- the present invention is the minimum value of the filter value obtained by applying a filter having a time constant larger than 1 second to the water level measured by the water level gauge as the final water level.
- the purpose is to provide a water level measurement device and a water level measurement method (hereinafter referred to as “water level measurement technology”) that are less susceptible to liquid fluctuations by utilizing the characteristics of liquid level fluctuations.
- an electronic circuit, a computer, or a control unit incorporating the electronic circuit a water level signal from a water level meter that measures the water level of the liquid stored in the liquid tank, While calculating a filter value to which a filter having a time constant greater than 1 second is calculated, the minimum value of the filter value is held, and the minimum value is output as a water level.
- the minimum force of the filter value obtained by applying a filter having a time constant greater than 1 second to the water level measured by the water level gauge is output as the final water level.
- the liquid level has a characteristic of shaking upward and large downward.
- the minimum value of the filter value obtained by applying the filter to the water level measured by the water level gauge is reduced. It is close. Therefore, by adopting the minimum value as the final water level, it becomes difficult to be affected by liquid shaking, and the water level measurement accuracy can be improved.

- the urea aqueous solution stored in the reducing agent tank 24 opens the suction port at the bottom thereof, and controls the pump module 26 for sucking and feeding the urea aqueous solution and the injection flow rate of the urea aqueous solution. It is supplied to the injection nozzle 18 through a supply pipe 30 provided with an addition module 28.
- the reducing agent tank 24 measures the water level L of the urea aqueous solution.
- a fixed water level gauge 32 is attached.
- the water level gauge 32 has a concentric inner electrode and outer electrode that have a circular cross section from the top wall to the bottom wall of the reducing agent tank 24, and the water level L is determined by the change in capacitance between both electrodes. Is measured indirectly.
- an exhaust temperature sensor 34 for measuring the exhaust temperature Te is attached to the exhaust pipe 14 positioned between the nitrogen oxide catalyst 16 and the injection nozzle 18.
- the output signals of the water level gauge 32 and the exhaust temperature sensor 34 are input to a reducing agent addition control unit (hereinafter referred to as “reducing agent addition ECU”) 36 having a built-in computer.
- the reducing agent addition ECU 36 has an engine control unit (hereinafter referred to as “engine ECU”) 38 force that performs various controls of the engine 10, and a network such as CAN (Controller Area Network), and the engine speed and An engine operating state such as a load is input.
- engine ECU Engine Control unit
- the reducing agent addition ECU 36 executes a control program stored in a ROM (Read Only Memory) or the like to electronically control the pump module 26 and the addition module 28 and measure the water level L of the urea aqueous solution. Each of the various functions is implemented.
- the reducing agent addition ECU 36 calculates a control value representing the injection flow rate of the urea aqueous solution based on the engine operation state including the exhaust temperature Te at every predetermined time.
- injection is performed from the injection nozzle 18 in accordance with the engine operating state.
- the supplied urea aqueous solution is hydrolyzed using exhaust heat and water vapor in the exhaust, and converted to ammonia. It is known that the converted ammonia undergoes a reduction reaction with NOx in the exhaust gas at the NOx reduction catalyst 20 and is converted to water (HO) and nitrogen (N).
- the ammonia that has passed through the NOx reduction catalyst 20 is oxidized by the ammonia acid catalyst 22 disposed downstream of the exhaust gas, so that ammonia is prevented from being released into the atmosphere as it is.
- FIG. 2 shows a control program that is repeatedly executed at predetermined time intervals in the reducing agent addition ECU 36.
- the minimum value Min as a variable is set (reset) to, for example, the maximum value according to the tank capacity.
- whether or not the urea aqueous solution is replenished is determined by a filter value obtained by applying a filter having a time constant larger than 1 second (for example, several tens of seconds) to the water level L measured by the water level gauge 32.
- Judgment can be made based on whether or not the state of rising above a certain value has continued for a predetermined time.
- step 1 abbreviated as “S1” in the figure, the same applies hereinafter
- the water level L is read from the water level gauge 32.
- step 2 a filter with a time constant greater than 1 second (for example, several tens of seconds) is applied to the water level.
- step 3 it is determined whether or not the filter value FLT is smaller than the minimum value Min. If the filter value FLT is smaller than the minimum value Min, the process proceeds to step 4 (Yes), and the minimum value Min is updated with the filter value FLT. On the other hand, if the filter value FLT is not less than the minimum value Min, the process proceeds to Step 5 (No).
- step 5 the minimum value Min is output as the final water level L.
- Step 6 it is determined whether or not the urea aqueous solution is replenished by the determination method described above. If the urea aqueous solution is replenished, the process proceeds to step 7 (Yes), and the minimum value Min is reset. On the other hand, if the urea aqueous solution is not replenished, the process is terminated (No).
- the water level L measured by the water level gauge 32 is less than 1 second.
- the filter value FLT to which a large filter is applied is calculated. If the filter value FLT is smaller than the minimum value Min, the minimum value Min is updated with the filter value FLT. After that, the minimum value Min is output as the final water level L.
- the filter value FLT is close to the minimum value Min. Therefore, if the minimum value Min is adopted as the final water level L, it is less likely to be affected by liquid shaking, and the water level measurement accuracy can be improved.
- the present invention is not limited to the exhaust purification device, and can also be applied to, for example, measuring the level of fuel stored in a fuel tank, the level of chemicals used in a chemical plant, and the like.
- the control program may be executed by a computer or various control units incorporating the same.
- the filter value is calculated by applying a filter with a time constant greater than 1 second to the water level.
- the process of holding the minimum value of the filter value is not limited to the software process by the control program, but is performed by a hardware process using a known electronic circuit such as an RC circuit, an RL circuit, or a latch circuit.
