  • the card connector 10 is formed so that fitting positions of two types of cards, that is, the first card 31 and the second card 41 which differ in an anteroposterior direction according to a width dimension of tip portions thereof. This enables the exclusive fit of either the first card 31 or the second card 41, and thus obtains the card connector 10 that is minimal in thickness dimension and small-sized. Further, this enables the user to easily and surely fit the first card 31 and the second card 41 within the connector.

Abstract

Connecteur de cartes, comprenant un boîtier présentant une partie creuse partiellement constituée d'une paire de parois latérales s'étendant essentiellement parallèlement pour recevoir exclusivement soit un premier type de carte, soit un deuxième type de carte qui comportent chacun une pluralité d'éléments de borne agencés sur une surface le long d'un bord, et dans lequel le premier type de carte présente une largeur relativement large le long du bord, et le deuxième type de carte présente une largeur relativement étroite le long du bord. La partie creuse comprend une partie creuse de faible largeur qui est située du côté intérieur de la partie creuse. La partie creuse de faible largeur comporte des deuxièmes bornes de connexion à connecter au deuxième type de carte, alors que l'autre partie creuse comporte des premières bornes de connexion à connecter au premier type de carte. Les parois latérales présentent de multiples parties convexes qui interagissent avec des parties convexes prévues sur les cartes afin d'aider à assurer une orientation correcte des cartes à l'intérieur du connecteur. Un couvercle est monté de façon coulissante et rotative sur le boîtier pour couvrir le côté supérieur du boîtier et la carte reçue. Le couvercle comprend des pièces d'engagement et de verrouillage qui interagissent avec des parties d'engagement et de verrouillage prévues sur les parois latérales du boîtier pour fixer le couvercle dans la position fermée.
