Definitions
- the application relates to a flexible orthotic garment made of a stretchable material, wherein the orthotic garment is adapted to a carrier, that by the orthotic garment a predeterminable compression is applied to the carrier.
- Compression stress effectively enhances one's own body perception as well as the absorption and processing of sensory stimuli.
- a flexible dynamic orthosis is disclosed, for example, in US 5,957,873.
- the dynamic orthosis described therein may be a garment such as a shirt, a pair of trousers, a vest or a suit or even a glove, a stocking, a hat, a compression segment or a compression band.
- the dynamic orthosis is intended to provide the most uniform possible compression effect on the dynamic orthosis exercise covered body region and is preferably made of a multi-directional stretchable material having in all directions as uniform as possible elasticity. It has been found that the achievable with dynamic orthotics therapeutic success can be improved by specifically targeted therapeutically particularly relevant muscles or muscle groups are supported and compressed. A largely uniform in all areas support and compression load is perceived in these cases as insufficient.
- An increased uniform compression load for example, by arranging several layers of the expandable material of the dynamic orthosis one above the other does not allow any targeted influencing of the relevant muscles or muscle groups.
- an additional compression load is regularly associated with a reduced comfort and a limited freedom of movement.
- the orthotic clothing stucco comprises at least one strip of a stretchable material, which is arranged and fixed to the orthotic garment such that the at least one strip a additional compression effect on a therapeutically relevant body area of the wearer exerts.
- the additional strip can be arranged in a region of the orthotic garment in which an additional supporting and in particular compressing effect is therapeutically advantageous.
- the length and width of the strip can be adjusted almost arbitrarily.
- the strip is made of the same material as the orthotic article of clothing, therapy conditions are also conceivable which suggest the use of a strip of another material with a different extensibility. While in most cases a symmetrical arrangement of the at least one strip may be advantageous, in individual cases a non-symmetrical, for example one-sided, additional compression load may be indicated.
- the at least one strip is arranged in the lower abdominal region. Studies have shown that the abdominal muscles are an essential part of the
- the orthotic garment has at least two obliquely crossing strips.
- at least two obliquely extending strips are arranged in the abdominal region of the wearer. It has been shown that obliquely extending, or obliquely crossing stripes are not considered to be detrimental to the wearing comfort despite the additional compression effect. Also, a symmetrical additional supporting and compressing effect can be combined with a course of the strips adapted to the body shape. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the
- two strips arranged in the region of the abdomen below the Rippen the course of the Musculus Obliquus following are arranged crosswise.
- the strips thus arranged promote particularly effective central stability of the body and activation of the essential for the balance, movement and postural control abdominal muscle groups.
- the intersecting strips are connected to one another in the intersection region.
- the often extending transversely across the orthotic garment strips are additionally connected and fixed to each other at a distance from the respective fasteners at the strip ends, without thereby limiting their supporting or compressing effect.
- the at least two intersecting strips may be interconnected in the crossover area and secured to the flexible orthotic garment.
- the additional therapeutic effect of the intersecting strips is in this way predetermined so that, starting from the crossover region, which is fixed to the flexible orthotic garment, for example by sewing, the laterally leading strip portions exert a compressive and supporting function.
- a flexible orthotic clothing stucco 1 has the shape of a T-shirt, or a vest.
- the orthotic garment 1 is made of a stretchable material.
- the expandable material used has extensibility and elasticity which are largely uniform in all directions.
- a suitable stretchable material consists of fibers containing polyurethane and / or other suitable plastics.
- the cut and the dimensions of the flexible orthotic clothing stucco 1 are adapted to the body shape of a wearer, that by the flexible orthetician Bereferssstuck 1 a substantially gleichschreibige trimming and compressing action is exerted on the upper body of the wearer.
- the flexible orthotic clothing stucco 1 has in the abdominal region of the wearer two strips 2 extending over the abdominal region and made of a stretchable material. In the illustrated
- Exemplary embodiment is the same material as the flexible orthotic Garment 1, but this does not necessarily have to be the case.
- the two strips 2 are arranged crossing each other in the abdominal region so that the course of the two strips 2 substantially follows the abdominal muscle groups and in particular the musculus obliquus of the wearer. In this way, these therapeutically particularly relevant muscle groups are specifically activated and strengthened.
- the two strips 2 are each connected laterally by means of a seam 3 with the flexible orthotic garment 1.
- the lateral seam 3 can thereby form a portion of a side seam of the flexible orthotic garment 1, so that the two strips 2 can be arranged and connected to it during the production and sewing of the flexible orthotic garment 1 in a single step. If, for example, to improve the wearing comfort on side seams omitted in the flexible orthotic garment 1 or the two strips 2 only later, or connected in a separate step with the flexible orthotic garment 1, the respective associated seams 3 separate seams. There are also other fortifications of the two strips conceivable, but should not restrict the comfort unduly.
- the flexible orthotic garment 1 may also have the shape of, for example, a suit, trousers or other known dynamic orthosis.
