Le procédé de détection d'une position du pôle magnétique dans un moteur de synchronisation à aimant permanent permet de détecter une position (position sur l'axe d) d'un pôle magnétique d'un moteur de synchronisation à aimant permanent exprimé par un système de coordonnées d-q et comprend: une première phase de fonctionnement du moteur (S1, S2) pour régler une position du pôle magnétique (position sur l'axe d) de la coordonnée de contrôle par rapport à un angle intermédiaire (180°) dans une plage de 380° et de raccorder électriquement un induit pendant une minute de sorte que le courant de l'induit sur l'axe q = 0, le courant de l'induit sur l'axe d = id; et une première phase de délimitation de la position du pôle magnétique (S3) pour détecter le sens de fonctionnement du moteur de manière à évaluer si la position réelle du pôle magnétique du moteur (position sur l'axe d) est comprise dans une plage inférieure à l'ange intermédiaire (180°) ou dans une plage supérieure à celui-ci dans la plage de 380° par rapport à la coordonnée de contrôle.
