Abstract

Ein Blindniet und eine Vorrichtung zu seinem Setzen werden vorgeschlagen. Der Blindniet enthält einen Nietkörper (1) mit einem Kragen (3) an einem Ende und einer Nietspitze (6) am anderen Ende. In den Nietkörper ist in einem Hülsenabschnitt (2) ein Hohlraum (8) mit der Form einer Bohrung angeordnet. Der Blindniet wird wie sonstige Blindniete auch durch eine Öffnung in zwei zu verbindende Bleche (18,19) eingeschoben, bis der Kragen auf der Oberseite des oberen Blechs zur Anlage kommt. In einem zweiten Schritt wird mit Hilfe eines Stößels (10) oder eines Aufweitkörpers, der in die gleiche Richtung schlagartig vorgeschoben wird, eine Verformung des auf der Rückseite der beiden Bleche angeordneten Teils des Nietkörpers bzw. der Nietspitze bewirkt. Eine Vorrichtung zum Setzen eines solchen Blindniets enthält einen schlagartig vorwärts zu bewegenden Teil, nämlich einen innerhalb eines Haltekörpers angeordneten Stößel zur Beaufschlagung des Aufweitkörpers.
