Description

Description THE HANGUL TEACHING TOOL WITH PUZZLE MODEL
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to the hangul teaching tool with puzzle model, and more particularly, to Hangeul teaching tool using a puzzle model, which includes a plurality of character plates having printed consonants and vowels of Hangeul thereon and a character combination plate receiving the character plates to combine characters step by step according to a Korean syllable. Therefore, users can naturally learn a principle of making a Korean syllable. Background Art
[2] Users learn Hangeul at homes, kindergartens, or elementary schools by mean- inglessly memorizing 14 basic consonants (D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D) and 10 basic vowels (D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D) or simply memorizing words (DD(bag), D D (butterfly), DDD(squirrel), DD(lion)D).
[3] According to the above Hangeul teaching method, users need to memorize basic consonants and vowels, and also numerous syllables and sentences.
[4] On the other hand, Hangeul teaching materials using a Hangeul combination principle (i.e., a Korean syllable is made by combining an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant) have been introduced lately to resolve the above problem. A conventional Hangeul teaching material includes printed engravings of 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels, and a character combination plate combining the printed engravings according to a Korean syllable by using character plate insertion grooves. Therefore, the size of the complete Korean syllable varies according to six forms of Hangeul. Additionally, a conventional Hangeul teaching material may include a plurality of character printed engravings that can be used as multipurpose respectively according to six forms of Hangeul, and six or a plurality of individual character combination plates having respectively different engraving insertion grooves according to a Korean syllable.
[5] However, since each character has a predetermined size in the conventional
Hangeul teaching material, a shape of a Korean syllable becomes different according to six forms of Hangeul when creating the syllable by combining the characters. Moreover, when each of consonants and vowels is used for multipurpose (e.g., D->D, D-> D,D,D), users get confused with an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant, and thus may combine a consonant with vowel in a reverse accidentally. Consequently, users create a strange Korean syllable. Thus, it becomes very difficult for users to learn Hangeul. Moreover, various Korean syllables cannot be expressed in a predetermined size according to six forms of Hangeul by using one character combination plate, and also character combination plates need to be separately selected to create six forms of Hangeul.
[6] Accordingly, it is difficult for users to learn Hangeul systematically and gradually on the basis of a method of combining an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant.
[7] In Korea Utility Model No. 331839 titled a Hangeul teaching material using a puzzle model and filed by an applicant of this invention on Dec 21, 2003, the invention includes a plurality of character plates, a character combination plate having a plurality of character combination units on which the character plates are mounted to form a Korean syllable, a combination plate receiving unit receiving the character combination plate, and a character plate receiving unit receiving the character plates. The character plate receiving unit includes a curved character plate extruding groove, a protruding unit formed on the left and right thereof, and a character plate receiving unit receiving the character plate. Thus, users can combine the characters according to a Korean syllable step by step to naturally learn a principle of combining characters and can recognize a size change of consonants and vowels by using different sizes of character combination plates.
[8] However, since the Hangeul teaching material includes a combination plate receiving unit and a character plate receiving unit in a receiving frame simultaneously, the occupying space increases. Therefore, users cannot easily carry it around, and also it is hard to keep it when not being uses. Additionally, the Hangeul teaching material can be easily damaged due to carelessness. When the character plate is mounted on the character combination unit, an insertion groove of the character plate is inserted into the protruding line of the character combination unit. However, the character plates can be easily lost since the character plate is easily detached for the character combination unit.
[9] Additionally, when learning Hangeul for the first time, users study an initial consonant unit, a neutral vowel, a Korean syllable without a final consonant, a final consonant unit, and a Korean syllable with a final consonant step by step. However, when studying the initial consonants, the neutral vowel plates and the final consonant plates are unnecessarily placed in addition to the initial consonant plates. Therefore, users get confused and also cannot concentrate on learning Hangeul by touching the character plates which are unnecessary for learning Hangeul. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[10] Accordingly, the present invention is directed to the hangul teaching tool with puzzle model that substantially obviates one or more problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the related art.
[11] An object of the present invention is to provide a Hangeul teaching tool with a puzzle model, in which users can naturally learn a principle of Hangeul by combining the character plates of an initial consonant, neutral vowel, and a final consonant according to a Korean syllable. Especially, since the character plate receiving unit receiving a plurality of character plates can be easily inserted into and detached from the character combination plate, users can easily carry it around. Moreover, it is easy to keep it safely and the damage due to the carelessness can be prevented. A permanent magnet also prevents the character plates from being separated from the character plate receiving unit and the character combination unit.
[12] An another object of the present invention is to provide a Hangeul teaching tool with a puzzle model, in which when being used for leaning the consonants, only the first character plate receiving unit extrudes. When being used for learning the vowels, only the second character plate receiving unit extrudes. When being used for learning the consonants and the vowels, the first character plate receiving unit and the second character plate receiving unit expand. When being used for learning a Korean syllable with a final consonant, the third character plate receiving unit extrudes. Therefore, users can focus on learning Hangeul without getting confused. This can also shorten a period of learning Hangeul without feeling bored.
[13] Additional advantages, objects, and features of the invention will be set forth in unit in the description which follows and in unit will become apparent to those having ordinary skill in the art upon examination of the following or may be learned from practice of the invention. The objectives and other advantages of the invention may be realized and attained by the structure particularly pointed out in the written description and claims hereof as well as the appended drawings. [31] As illustrated in Figs. 1 through 11, the Hangeul teaching material tool using a puzzle model includes a plurality of character plates having respectively printed consonants and vowels of Hangeul thereon, and a character combination plate 20 having a plurality of character combination units 22. The character plates are mounted on the character combination unit 22 to form a Korean syllable.
[32] The character plates has a rectangular shape with a predetermined thickness, and includes initial consonant character plates 10 having initial consonants thereon, neutral vowel character plates 12 having neutral vowels thereon, and final consonant character plates 14 having final consonants thereon.
[33] The initial consonant character plates 10 includes 19 initial consonants (D, D, D, D, D, D,
D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D) printed thereon. The neutral vowel character plates 12 includes 21 neutral vowels (D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D) printed thereon. The final consonant character plates 14 includes 27 final consonants (D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D) printed thereon.
[34] The letter combination unit is space where a plurality of character plates having the printed initial consonants, neutral vowels, and final consonants are combined in an initial consonant + a neutral vowel or an initial consonant + a neutral vowel + a final consonant to form a Korean syllable. A plurality of protruding lines are formed in the inner space to couple with insertion grooves (not shown) formed in the bottom of the character plates. Thus, when combining the character plates, the insertion grooves (not shown) are inserted into the protruding lines 23.
[35] The character plates and the character combination plates are well known to those skilled in the art and its detained description will be omitted.
[36] As an important component of the present invention, the character combination plate 20 is a rectangular body having a predetermine thickness, and includes a predetermine space therein and openings on all the sides except one side.
[37] A plurality of character plate receiving units slides into the opening of the character combination plates 20 for detachable coupling and includes the character plates thereon.
[38] Here, the character plate receiving unit includes a first character plate receiving unit
30, a second character plate receiving unit 32, and a third character plate receiving unit
34. The first character plate receiving unit 30 receives the initial consonant character plates 10 thereon. The second character plate receiving unit 32 has a horizontal length shorter than that of the first character plate receiving unit 30, and includes the neutral vowel character plates 12 thereon. The third character plate receiving unit 34 has a horizontal length shorter than a total length of the first character plate receiving unit 30 and the second character plate receiving unit 32 and a vertical length longer than one of them, and receives the final consonant character plates 14 thereon.
[39] Guide sides 35 protrudes in a line form with a predetermined height on both sides of the third character plate receiving unit 34 to guide the first character plate receiving unit 30 and the second character plate receiving unit 32 for the left and right movements. The guide side 35 formed on one side of the third character plate receiving unit 34 located inside the character combination plate 20, that is, the rear of the guide
35, is spaced a predetermined distance apart from the inside. Therefore, the guide side 35 can move the third character plate receiving unit 34 toward the bottom when the second character plate receiving unit 32 extrudes toward the left and right from the third character plate receiving unit 34.
[40] That is, the third character plate receiving unit 34 is inserted into an opening below the character combination plate 20. The first character plate receiving unit 30 is inserted into the left side opening. The second character plate receiving unit 32 is inserted into the right opening. Consequently, the teaching tool can be assembled. When using the Hangeul teaching tool, the first character plate receiving unit 30 extrudes from the left of the character combination plate 20, and the second character plate receiving unit 32 extrudes from the right of the character combination plate 20, and the third character receiving unit 34 extrudes below the character combination plate 20.
[41] Accordingly, the character plate receiving units are inserted and expand through the openings of the character combination plate 20. Therefore, when not being used, the character plate receiving units are inserted and kept. When being used, the character plate receiving units extrude toward the outer and then can be used. Accordingly, since the size of the Hangeul teaching tool can be reduced, the space for keeping the Hangeul teaching tool decreases and the damage due to carelessness can be prevented.
[42] At this point, when the first character plate receiving unit 30 and the second character plate receiving unit 32 move to couple to each other, a plurality of coupling projections 31 are formed on one side of the first character plate receiving unit 30 to improve coupling between them. A plurality of protruding catches 33 are formed on one side of the second character plate receiving unit 32 corresponding to the coupling projection 31. A protruding side 36 is formed inside the guide side 35 of the third character plate receiving unit 34. The protruding side 36 has a predetermined height to move within a predetermined distance by coupling to the both sides of the bottoms of the first character plate receiving unit 30 and the second character receiving unit 32 when the first character receiving unit moves to the right and the second character plate receiving unit 32 moves to the left.
[43] On the other hand, a permanent magnet 40 can be further included on the top of the character plate receiving unit and the character combination unit 22 and the bottom of the character plates to improve coupling. Therefore, separation of the character plates due to carelessness can be prevented.
[44] Moreover, curved character plate extruding grooves 22a are formed on or below the character combination unit 22 and the character plate receiving unit to extrude the character plates, and protruding catches (not shown) are formed on the left and right to prevent the character plate from being separated after being inserted.
[45] When explaining operations and effectiveness of the present invention, the initial consonant character plates 10, the neutral vowel character plates 12, and the final consonant character plates 14 are mounted on the character combination plate 20 in "an initial consonant + a neutral vowel" or "an initial consonant + a neutral vowel + a final consonant" according to a Korean syllable for learning Hangeul by using a Hangeul teaching tool using a puzzle tool.
[46] At this point, when forming a Korean syllable, the character plates of the initial consonant, the neutral vowel, and the final consonant are not used for multipurpose. Therefore, users can concentrate on learning Hangeul.
[47] On the other hand, when combining the character plates, the insertion groove (not shown) is coupled with the protruding line 23 formed on the character combination unit of the character combination plate 20.
[48] As illustrated in Fig. 9, when learning only the consonants, the first character plate receiving unit 30 is extruded and then the initial consonant character plate 10 representing "D" is coupled to the character combination unit 22 in a case of learning "D".
[49] Moreover, as illustrated in Fig. 10, when learning a Korean syllable with an initial consonant and a neutral vowel such as "DD", the first character plate receiving unit 30 and the second character plate receiving unit 32 are extruded, and then the initial consonant character plate 10 representing "D" and the neutral vowel character plate 12 representing "D" are combined into the character combination unit 22, and also the initial consonant character plate 10 representing "D" and the neutral vowel character plate 12 representing "D" are combined into the character combination unit 22.
[50] As illustrated in Fig. 11, when learning a Korean syllable with a final consonant such as "DD", the initial consonant character plate 10 representing "D", the neutral vowel character plate 12 representing "D", and the final consonant character plate 14 representing "D" are combined into the character combination unit 11, and also the initial consonant character plate 10 representing "D" and the neutral vowel character plate 12 representing "D" are combined into the character combination unit 22.
[51] At this point, the initial consonant character plates 10 for representing a Korean syllable with a final consonant, and the final consonant character plate 14 have respectively different sizes.
[52] Additionally, users can easily recognize characters since a plurality of character plates are systematically arranged.
[53] On the other hand, permanent magnets 40 are formed on the top of the character plate receiving unit and the character combination unit 22 and the bottom of the character plates, thereby improving coupling of the character plates. This can also prevent the character plates from being separated from the character plate receiving unit and the character combination unit 22.
[54] Here, the character plate receiving units are inserted and extrude through the openings of the character combination plate 20. Therefore, when not being used, the character plate receiving units are inserted and kept. When being used, the character plate receiving units extrudes toward the outside and then can be used. Accordingly, since the size of the Hangeul teaching tool can be reduced, the space for keeping the Hangeul teaching tool decreases and the damage due to carelessness can be prevented. Industrial Applicability
[55] According to the present invention, users can naturally learn a principle of Hangeul by combining the character plates of an initial consonant, neutral vowel, and a final consonant according to a Korean syllable.
[56] Moreover, when being used for leaning the consonants, only the first character plate receiving unit extrudes.
[57] It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention covers the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
