Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a high-barrier multilayer laminated film.
  • the flexible multilayer laminated films used in the production of these pouches have excellent barrier properties against gases (particularly oxygen) and water, thus allowing the protection of the food contained in the pouches made of these films to approximate the protection provided with conventional jars or cans.
  • These multilayer laminated films generally comprise at least two layers: at least one first layer, made of heat- sealing plastic material, and at least one second outer layer made of a material chosen among plastics, metallic, paper-like or equivalent materials, each layer being coupled to the adjacent one by means of an intercalated layer of adhesive material.
