Definitions
- the new invention comes as a solution to stuff taller flexible inserts in containers/ trailers to increase the cargo volume/ tonnage thereby loaded.
- Taller big bags are commonly used to overcome said stacking problem inside a container/ trailer but since they also stretch when lifted, a height limit Is also imposed which in turn reduces cargo volume per flexible insert and consequently the cargo loaded into a container. Therefore, to increase cargo loading in a container, either taller flexible inserts are needed or minimum stretching flexible Inserts are required to enable double stacking inside a container.
- the more cargo carried In the container/ trailer the larger the economic savings in the transportation chain.
- One good example is the transport of grains in super sacks in 20' containers where around 10% additional cargo could be transported if tie object of this new invention is used.
- the tsasic concept of the new invention is to offer the market a new flexible insert that has reduced stretching when lifted, therefore allowing taller bags to be stuffed into a container/ trailer or minima! stretching regular flexible inserts for double slacking inside a container/ trailer.
- the invention consists of fork pockets, sleeves, or apertures placed within the flexible insert itself. The lower those new fork pocket/ sleeves are positioned inside the flexible insert the smaller will be the flexible insert height stretching, the positioning of those fork sleeves to take into consideration the stability of said flexible insert.
- the new invention will have a much reduced height when lifted, as its top section w!
- a bottom strap arrangement hanging from the top of the fork pockets/ sleeves can be added to further reduce super sack bottom stretching when flexible insert is lifted by those fork sleeves.
- the new invention reduces stretching but also and most important allows taller flexible inserts with more cargo capacity to be stuffed into a container/ trailer or taller flexible inserts to be double stacked inside a container/ trailer.
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 shows a front view of the object of the present invention with two forklift fork sleeves.
- Fig. 2 shows a front view of the object of the present invention with a single fbrkiiift fork sleeve.
- Fig. 3 shows a front view of the object of the present invention, with two forkiift fork sleeves, being lifted and the stretching being controlled by the bottom strap arrangement
- Fig. 4 shows a front view of the object of the present invention fitted into a container in comparison with two traditional flexible inserts stacked .
- Fig. 5 shows a front view of a taller embodiment of tie present invention fitted in a container and two traditional flexible inserts at the moment of their stacking.
- Fig. 6 shows a front view the object of the new invention being double stacked inside container compared to a taller conventional big bag.
- Fig. 7 shows a perspective view of the object of tie present invention being lifted by a fork lift.
- Fig. 1 shows one flexible insert (2) with two forkiift fork sleeves (1), optional top handles (3) for optional handling outside a container/ trailer, and bottom reinforcement straps (4) to further hold flexible insert bottom portion stretching when hanging from a fork i ⁇ ft truck.
- Fig. 2 shows a different configuration of the invention (2) with just one fork sleeve (1) and optional bottom reinforcement strap arrangement (4) and optional top handles (3).
- Fig. 3 shows the new invention being fitted by forklift forks (30) at flexible insert fork sleeves (1), the top section of flexible insert (2) partially rests on forks (30) and the small stretching of the bottom section of the flexible insert (2) being further controlled by the bottom strap arrangement (4).
- Fig. 4 shows the new invention (2) inside container (20) and two regular super sacks (40) using other technologies stacked one over the other, demonstrating that both super sacks (40) height is lower than of the new invention (2) due to the limitation imposed by the maximum forklift lifting height capacity inside the container (20).
- FIG. 5 shows a taller version of the new invention (2) lifted inside the container (20) and a second big bag (40) being placed over another big bag (40). This figure better expia ⁇ ns the reason for the reduced height of conventional super sacks.
- the figure also shows the reinforcement horizontal strap (5), positioned on tie fcrklift fork sleeves (1), in order to reinforce the bottom strap arrangement (4).
- Fig. 6 shows the new invention (2) being double stacked inside container (20) compared to a falter conventional big bag (41).
- two flexible Inserts manufactured with the new technology reach higher combined height with no need for pallet use than a conventional iaifer big bag using existent technologies.
- Fig. 7 shows a preferred embodiment of the invention where the fork pockets or sleeves (1) are substantially at two thirds of the flexible insert dividing it so fop section (A) resting on forks (30) from the forklift truck (31), and one bottom section (B), hanging from same forklift forks (30), and bottom reinforcement straps (4) avoiding flexible insert bottom section from stretching down and also a diagonal strap (7), which provides more stability to the top section (A).
