Abstract

Los nuevos polienos responden a la fórmula (I) en donde: R1 es alquilo, C1-C3; R2 es un grupo funcional elegido entre CH3- ó CONH2- (metilo ó amida primaria). Tienen actividad biocida frente a organismos que poseen membranas celulares que contienen ergosterol, por ejemplo, hongos o parásitos. Estos compuestos pueden ser obtenidos mediante un procedimiento que comprende cultivar un microorganismo productor bajo condiciones que permitan su producción. Se describe, además, un mecanismo para a obtención 'in vitro' de polienos amidados que consiste en incubar polienos carboxilados con extractos acelulares (ó fracciones proteicas) de los productores de aquellos en presencia de ATP/Mg++ y un compuesto donador de grupos amida (preferentemente glutamina).
