L'invention concerne une unité hydraulique (2) qui sert à mettre à disposition un fluide hydraulique sous pression au niveau d'une sortie (36. 36A, B) et qui présente un moteur électrique (14) ainsi qu'une pompe (16) fonctionnant au moyen de ce dernier, servant à produire une pression. Une chambre de stockage (5) à volume de compensation variable sert au stockage, sans gaz, du fluide hydraulique aspiré par la pompe (16). Le fluide hydraulique présente notamment une surpression pour qu'il soit, de manière sûre et fiable, exempt de gaz. Cette conception permet d'assurer la fiabilité et la sécurité de fonctionnement de l'unité hydraulique (2) même en présence de valeurs d'accélération élevées. L'unité hydraulique (2) est destinée en particulier à être montée sur un robot industriel.
