A second solution for connecting the chimney halves proposes to screw these together. In this type of connection, however, screws or at least mounting holes are also in the field of view of the viewer even after installation. Design specifications are therefore usually not achievable. Another solution from the prior art is described for example in DE 102 601 45 A1. In this variant, two chimney halves are connected by means of a magnetic adhesive tape or a Velcro tape. Although this solution is advantageous in terms of ease of service, since the connection between the chimney halves can be easily solved. However, the exact positioning of the two chimney halves to each other can be difficult. In addition, the magnetic force must be chosen so large that the connection is reliably maintained when using the hood, whereby an adjustment of the chimney halves may be difficult.

Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a fireplace for an extractor hood, which can be easily mounted and positioned, especially after installation of the device can be mounted in a simple manner. The latching means are preferably provided distributed over the height of the chimney parts. In a preferred embodiment, the chimney parts comprise two chimney sides and a leg, wherein the leg has a length which corresponds to the length of the receiving region of the holding device and serves as a section for insertion into the receiving region of the holding device at another chimney part. The leg extends from the free end of one of the two sides of the fireplace in the same direction in which extends at the opposite end of the fireplace side, the other side of the fireplace. At the wider side of the fireplace, the holding device is preferably provided in the interior at the free end.
