Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a door damper for preventing impact and noise generated when a door for a furniture article or a sink is rapidly opened and closed and the door is impacted on a doorframe.
  • a door is mounted through a spring hinge on a sink or a furniture article such as a clothes chest and a bookcase.
  • a spring hinge on a sink or a furniture article such as a clothes chest and a bookcase.
  • the door is impacted on a doorframe and large impact is applied to the door, and noise is generated due to the impact. In the worst case, the door may be damaged.
  • FIG. 1 In the conventional door damper, however, when the door mounted through a spring hinge is suddenly closed, the door is bounced from a bumper 13 and noise is also generated, since an oil path through first and second check valves 21 and 22 is narrow, a pressure in an oil chamber 3 is excessively increased. A housing surrounding the oil chamber 3 is bent to an outside due to the increase in the pressure. Therefore, a fine gap is generated between a housing body 16 and an oil seal 17 for preventing oil leakage so that the oil is leaked. Since the door is closed by the spring hinge, a return spring 15 having small elastic force has to be used in the spring hinge. In this case, there is a problem that the door is slowly returned. Abstract
