Abstract

技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、一般的には、患者の皮膚または他の体の表面 (例えば踵)に、好ましく は精密(または正確)にコントロールされた、インシジョン (または傷口もしくは切口)を 形成するためのランセット装置 (以下、単に「インシジョン装置」とも呼ぶ)に関し、詳し くは、経済的に製造でき、非常に安定した構造を有し、しかも、使用者が誤使用する 可能性を減らすことができるデイスポーザブルのインシジョン装置に関する。
背景技術

それらには、例えば米国特許第 5, 133, 730号および第 5, 755, 733号に記載さ れたものがあり、これらは患者の皮膚、例えば指先を刺通するように設計されている。 また、皮膚に一様な長さおよび深さのインシジョンを形成するような構造のデバイスも ある。

[0006] 上述のような問題点を解決すベぐコスト的に有効な方法で製造および組み立てが できる、一様に皮膚を傷つける装置を提供すること、長い寿命を有することができ、傷 付け要素の偶発的な発射を防止するのを助長する安定した構造を有するインシジョ ン装置を提供すること、およびコスト的に有効な方法で滅菌して包装できるインシジョ ン装置を提供することを目的として、特開 2000— 245715号公報にインシジョン装置 が提案されている。この装置では、上述の問題点の大部分が実質的に解決され、基 本的には満足すべきインシジョン装置であると言える。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0007] 上述の事項に鑑み、既知のデイスポーザブルの皮膚を傷つける(または皮膚に切 口を形成する)インシジョン装置に関しては、ほぼ満足できるものが提案されていると 言える。し力しながら、そのようなデバイスを実際に製造して提供するにあたり、もし更 なる問題点があるとすればその問題点を解決することが望ましい。従って、本発明は 、そのような更なる問題点の存在の有無を確認すること、そして、もし問題点があるな らそれを解決することを解決すべき課題とする。
課題を解決するための手段
[0008] 上述の更なる問題点について、発明者が鋭意検討を重ねた結果、特開 2000— 24 5715号公報に開示のインシジョン装置の場合、その使用者がそれを指で保持した 状態で不用意にトリガーアームを発射させる位置、即ち、発射位置に向力つてハウジ ング内に向力つて押し込むと、ランセットブレードが保護カバーが付いた状態であつ ても、トリガーアームがピボット回転して、保護カバーが付いたままでランセットブレー ドが発射されてしまい(即ち、カバーが付いた状態でピボット回転し)、その結果、その インシジョン装置を使用できなくなる (従って、そのようなデバイスは無駄となる)ことが あるという問題点を見出した。即ち、発明者は、この点に関して、特開 2000— 24571 5号公報に開示のインシジョン装置を更に改良する必要があることを見出し、以下に 説明する本発明を見出した。
[0009] 本発明者は、インシジョン装置がカバーが付いた状態で不用意に発射されることを 可及的に防止する、新たなインシジョン装置を提供する。このインシジョン装置は、ハ ウジング、ならびにランセットボディおよびランセットガイドを有するランセットガイド (案 内)アッセンブリを有し、ランセットボディはランセットブレードを有し、ランセットブレー ドは、トリガーアームがランセットブレードを発射させるように移動するのを防止するス トッパーを有する取り外し可能な保護カバーによって覆われていることを特徴とする。 このストッパーは、ランセットブレードを発射するようにトリガーアームが移動する場合 の、トリガーアームの軌跡の途中に存在し、その結果、トリガーアームの移動を妨げる 。尚、本発明のインシジョン装置は、トリガーアームが上述のようなストッパーを有する ことを除 ヽて、特開 2000— 245715号公報(または対応の米国特許第 6045295号 明細書)に開示のインシジョン装置と実質的に同じであってよい。従って、この特許公 報の内容は、ここで引用することによって本明細書に組み込まれる。
[0010] 本発明のインシジョン装置において、ランセットガイドアッセンブリは、ピボット回転( pivot,軸回転)動作のためにハウジング内に装着されたランセットボディ、およびラン セットガイドを含む。ランセットガイドは、ランセットブレードをアーチ (または弓形)状の カッティング (切断)ストロークを経るようにガイドし、その間、ランセットボディが非発射 位置と発射された位置、即ち、発射後の位置との間でピボット回転しながら、ランセッ トブレードはハウジングの開口部を通って延び出る。そのようなランセットガイドは、ラ ンセットボディに設けたガイド部材、ならびにハウジングに設けた相補的ガイド部材に より構成され、これらが協働してランセットブレードが所定のパスを通過するのを確保 する。具体的には、ガイド部材は、後述するように、ランセットボディが有する突出部 であり、相補的ガイド部材はその突出部をガイドするハウジングに配置された相補的 ガイド溝部を有して成る。別の態様では、ガイド部材は、ランセットボディが有する凹 部であり、相補的ガイド部材はその凹部をガイドするハウジングに配置された相補的 ガイド突出部を有して成る。
[0011] 本発明のインシジョン装置は、また、発射準備完了位置と発射させる位置との間で ピボット回転動作するように、ハウジング内に取り付けたトリガーアームを有するトリガ 一(引金)機構を含む。トリガーアームが発射準備完了位置にある場合にはバイアス していない状態であり、トリガーアームが発射させる位置に向力つてピボット回転する とバイアス状態となるように、スプリング要素がハウジング内に配置されている。このト リガ一機構およびスプリング要素は、トリガーアームが発射させる位置に達すると、バ ィァス状態のスプリング要素が解放されるように構成され、また、スプリング要素が解 放されると、それカ^ンセットボディに力を作用し、それによつて、非発射位置から発 射された位置にランセットボディをピボット回転させるようにスプリングは配置され、そ れによって、ランセットブレードをカッティングストロークを経て移動させる。
発明の効果
[0012] 本発明のインシジョン装置において、保護カバーはストッパーを有するので、保護 カバーを除去しない限り、トリガーアームの移動が妨げられるので、保護カバーが付 いた状態で不用意にトリガーアームをハウジング内に押し込んでも、トリガーアームは 、ランセットを発射できない。

[0028] 図 7に示すように、インシジョン装置 20を作動する前、ランセットブレード 24は、ハウ ジング 22の内側に全体が配置されている。発射シーケンスの間、ランセットブレード 2 4は、例えば図 9に示すように、アーチ状の形状の皮膚当接 (または係合)部分 82に 形成したスロット 80をブレードが通過して延びる状態に初めて移る。次に、ランセット ブレード 24は、正確な切断ストロークで移動する。切断ストロークが終わると、ハウジ ングのガイド溝部 74の構造は、ランセットブレード 24を、図 11に示すように、ハウジン グ内に引き込ませ、その結果、傷つける恐れがある切断エッジが露出しない状態でィ ンシジョン装置を処分 (または廃棄)できるように構成されて ヽる。
[0029] 勿論、インシジョン装置 20は、広範囲の種々の異なるディメンションを有するインシ ジョンを形成するように設計できることが理解されよう。例えば、 1つの好ましい態様で は、ハウジング 22の種々の構造、例えば皮膚当接部分 82のアーチ形状および Zま たはランセットブレード 24の形状を変えることにより、約 0. 5mn!〜 2. Ommの深さの インシジョンをいずれの箇所にも形成できるインシジョン装置を提供できる。
[0030] インシジョン装置 20が再使用され、それによつて、装置の無菌状態に対する信頼を 傷つけるのを防止するために、装置を 1回だけ作動できるようにトリガー機構 30を構 成する。詳しくは、トリガーアーム 32が発射させる位置にー且到達すると、トリガー作 動要素 34に形成したリッジ (突出部) 84は、ハウジング 22に形成した協働エッジ 86 に係合し、それにより、トリガーアーム 32が図 6に示すような発射準備完了位置に向 つて戻るのを防止する。このように、ハウジングとのリッジ 84の係合は、ー且デバイス が発射されたなら、インシジョン装置 20が再度発射準備状態になるのを防止する。
[0031] インシジョン装置 20の滅菌および包装を容易にするために、ランセットブレード 24 およびノヽウジングの皮膚当接部分 82の双方を覆う取り外し可能カバーを設けてよい 。より詳しくは、図 1、 5および 6に示すように、ランセットブレード 24のブレードホルダ 一部 40は、スナップオフまたはプルオフで取り外しできるカバー 88と接続され、この カバーは、ランセットブレード 24を露出させるために分離できるように予備切断したス リット 89によりブレードホルダー部 40から分離することができる。このスリットはランセッ トブレードに達する必要は必ずしも無ぐランセットホルダー部とカバーがノッチ部を 介して一体に接続された形態であってもよ!/、。
[0032] 図示した態様では、取り外し可能カバー 88は、ランセットブレード 24が汚染される のを遮断する保護鞘部分 90、および汚染に対してハウジング 22のアーチ状皮膚当 接部分 82を保護する保護フランジ部分 92を含む。尚、上述のように、本発明のイン シジョン装置において、保護フランジ部分 92は、ストッパー 100を有して成り、ストッパ 一 100は、ハウジングの側方に設けた開口部 102からハウジング内に延び出ている。 このストッパー 100は、インシジョン装置の使用前にカバー 88を除去するまでは、トリ ガーアーム 32がハウジング内に不用意に押し込まれるのを防止する機能を有する。 図 1および図 6に示すように、カバーの鞘部分 90は、ハウジング 22の側方に設けた 開口部 94を通過して延び、デバイスの使用前に、容易につまんで、インシジョンノヽゥ ジング内に全部配置されているランセットブレード 24から取り去ることができるようにな つている。このように取り去ると、ストッパー 100も同時に存在しなくなるので、トリガー アームはキャッチ 66に向かって進むことができる。このような取り外し可能カバー 88を 採用することによって、ランセットブレード 24自体のみを滅菌するだけでよぐ従って、 インシジョン装置全体を滅菌可能容器に包装する必要がなくなる。
[0033] インシジョン型のデバイス 20を使用するには、ハウジングの開口部 94を通過してラ ンセットブレード 24から延び出るカバー 88を引っ張って、ランセットブレード 24のエツ ジの覆いを除去し、トリガーアーム 32の押し込みを可能とすると共に、ハウジング 22 の皮膚当接部分 82を露出させる。次に、ハウジングの皮膚当接部分 82を被採血者 の皮膚に押しつける。その後、トリガー機構 30のトリガーアーム 32を、例えば図 7に 示すように、発射させる位置に向って下向きに単に押し込んで、インシジョン装置 20 を作動させる。トリガーアーム 32が発射させる位置に達すると、スプリング要素 60は、 ハウジング内のキャッチ 66から移動して、ブレードホルダー部 40を打ち、アーチ状の 切断サイクルで押し、再度、ハウジング内で安全な位置に達する。理解できるように、 トリガーアームおよびランセットブレード用の開口部をノヽウジングの隣り合う側方に配 置して、他の側方と対向するようにすることにより、本発明のデバイスの使用が遥かに 容易になる。
[0034] 上述の事項から、非常に安定な構造であり、それによりデバイスの不用意な発射ま たは射出を防止するのを助長し、また、長い期間にわたって更に高温で保存された 場合であっても、信頼性ある性能をデバイスは発揮できる。更に、このデバイスは、構 造が簡単であり、それによつて、コスト的に有効な方法で製造およひ且み立てができ る。また、トリガーアームの不用意な押し込みが防止でき、インシジョンデバイスの無 駄が減る。

産業上の利用可能性 本発明は、使用者の不用意な操作による装置の無駄の発生を防止する改善された インシジョン装置を提供し、そのような装置は、より効率的な採血を可能にする。

Claims

請求の範囲 [1] インシジョンを形成するためのインシジョン装置であって、
(1)ハウジング、
(2)ピボット回転動作するようにハウジング内に装着されたランセットボディ、および アーチ状の切断ストロークでランセットブレードをガイドするランセットガイドを含むラン セットガイドアッセンブリ、
(3)発射準備完了位置と発射させる位置との間でピボット回転動作するように、ハウ ジング内に装着されたトリガーアームを含むトリガー機構、ならびに
(4)トリガーアームが発射準備完了位置にある場合、ノ ィァスしていない状態にあり 、トリガーアームが発射させる位置に向力つてピボット回転する時に、ハウジングに設 けたキャッチに係合することによってバイアス状態となるように構成された、ハウジング 内に配置されたスプリング要素
を有して成り、
ランセットボディは、取り外し可能な保護カバーによって覆われたランセットブレード を有して成り、
ランセットブレードは、切断ストロークの間、ランセットボディが非発射位置と発射さ れた位置との間でピボット回転する時、ハウジングに設けた開口部を通過して延び出 て、
トリガー機構およびスプリング要素は、トリガーアームが発射させる位置に達すると、 バイアス状態のスプリング要素がハウジングに設けたキャッチ力も解放されるように構 成され、
スプリング要素は、解放された場合、ランセットボディを非発射位置から発射された 位置にピボット回転させる力をランセットボディに加えるように配置され、それによつて 、ランセットブレードを切断ストロークを経て移動させ、
保護カバーは、それがランセットブレードを覆っている時、トリガーアームが発射さ せる位置に達するように移動するのを防止するストッパーを有する
ことを特徴とするインシジョン装置。
[2] トリガー機構およびランセットボディは、それぞれノヽウジング内に独立して配置され て 、る請求項 1に記載のインシジョン装置。
[3] ランセットボディおよびトリガーアームはそれぞれピボット回転する請求項 1または 2 に記載のインシジョン装置。
[4] ランセットボディおよびトリガーアームのピボット回転は、それぞれランセットボディの 端部における回転軸およびトリガーアームの端部における回転軸と、ハウジングに設 けたこれらの回転軸に対する軸受け部との間で達成する請求項 3に記載のインシジョ ン装置。
[5] トリガー機構およびランセットボディは、これらの間に位置する接続部によって一体 に形成され、トリガー機構と接続部との間および接続部とランセットボディとの間にノッ チ部が設けられ、そのノッチ部によって実質的にピボット回転が可能なように構成さ れて 、る請求項 1に記載のインシジョン装置。
[6] スプリング要素は、トリガーアームに接続されている請求項 1〜5のいずれかに記載 の装置。
[7] スプリング要素は、トリガーアームのトリガー作動要素に接続された端部、およびトリ ガーアームが発射準備完了位置にある場合にはトリガーアームの発射準備完了位 置力 発射させる位置への移動がスプリング要素を圧縮するようにキャッチと係合す る自由端を有する、弾性的に圧縮可能でほぼ V字形状を有する構造である請求項 1 〜6の!、ずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[8] スプリング要素の自由端は、バイアスしたスプリング要素が解放された時、ランセット ボディに当たり、そのままランセットボディに当接して位置する請求項 7に記載のイン シジョン装置。
[9] トリガーアームが発射させる位置に到達すると、トリガーアームはスプリング要素に 当接してスプリング要素をキャッチ力 解放するように、トリガーアームが構成されて!ヽ る請求項 1〜8のいずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[10] スプリング要素はカム面を有し、また、トリガーアームはそのカム面に係合する相補 的なカム面を有し、それにより、トリガーアームが発射させる位置に達すると、スプリン グ要素をキャッチ力 解放する請求項 9に記載のインシジョン装置。
[11] ランセットガイドは、ランセットボディが有する突出部、およびそれに係合する、ハウ ジングに配置された相補的ガイド溝部を有して成る請求項 1〜 10のいずれかに記載 のインシジョン装置。
[12] ランセットボディが非発射位置にある時、また、発射された位置にある時、ハウジン グ内にランセットブレードが全部配置されているように、ランセットガイドアッセンブリは 構成されて 、る請求項 1〜: L 1の 、ずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[13] ランセットブレードは、ランセットボディのブレードホルダー部によってランセットガイ ドアッセンプリに保持されている請求項 1に記載のインシジョン装置。
[14] トリガーアームは、発射させる位置にピボット回転した後、発射準備完了位置に戻る ことができないように構成されている請求項 1〜13のいずれかに記載のインシジョン 装置。
[15] トリガーアームが発射させる位置に到達した場合、ハウジングが有するエッジに係 合する相補的な突出部をトリガーアームは含み、それによつて、トリガーアームが発射 準備完了位置に戻るのを防止する請求項 1〜14のいずれかに記載のインシジョン装 置。
[16] ランセットボディは、スナップオフまたはプルオフで取り外し可能な保護カバーを有 する請求項 1〜15のいずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[17] 保護カバーは、ハウジングの皮膚当接部分を覆うフランジ部分を有し、ストッパーは フランジ部分に設けられた、フランジ部分からハウジング内に延在する突出部である 請求項 1〜16のいずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[18] ランセットボディは、延伸可能セクションを含み、それは、ランセットボディが非発射 位置と発射された位置との間でピボット回転する時、ランセットボディの直線的な延伸 を可能にする請求項 1〜17のいずれかに記載のインシジョン装置。
[19] 延伸可能セクションは左右対称形状を有する請求項 18に記載のインシジョン装置
