- the carrier protrudes on at least one side edge of the plate, this projection being provided with a seal. This makes it possible to seal the parting line between two adjacent panels. The seal is advantageously connected to the carrier in a shaping process.

- a further method for producing a plate consists in aligning a carrier over contact surfaces with the plate and filling material being introduced between the contact surfaces of the carrier and the plate, the filling material with the plate on the one hand and with partial areas of the carrier on the other combines.
- filling material is introduced essentially without pressure and is distributed in the desired manner due to its own flowability.
