Abstract

　ＤＶＤ３～１０倍速、特にＤＶＤ８倍速以上の高速記録においても良好な記録特性及び保存信頼性を有し、かつ記録材料の初期化が容易で初期化後の反射率分布が一様な光記録媒体等を提供することを目的とする。このため、基板と、該基板上に少なくとも第１保護層、記録層、第２保護層、及び反射層をこの順及び逆順のいずれかに有してなり、該記録層が、（Ｘ１）αＳｂβ（Ｘ２）γ（ただし、Ｘ１は、Ｇａ、Ｇｅ及びＩｎから選択される少なくとも１種の元素を表す。Ｘ２は、Ａｕ、Ａｇ及びＣｕから選択される少なくとも１種の元素を表す。α、β、及びγは、それぞれの元素の原子％を表し、２≦α≦２０、５５≦β≦９５、及び０＜γ≦１０であり、かつα＋β＋γ＝１００である）で表される組成を含有する光記録媒体である。
