Abstract

 DVD3~10倍速、特にDVD8倍速以上の高速記録においても良好な記録特性及び保存信頼性を有し、かつ記録材料の初期化が容易で初期化後の反射率分布が一様な光記録媒体等を提供することを目的とする。このため、基板と、該基板上に少なくとも第1保護層、記録層、第2保護層、及び反射層をこの順及び逆順のいずれかに有してなり、該記録層が、(X1)αSbβ(X2)γ(ただし、X1は、Ga、Ge及びInから選択される少なくとも1種の元素を表す。X2は、Au、Ag及びCuから選択される少なくとも1種の元素を表す。α、β、及びγは、それぞれの元素の原子%を表し、2≦α≦20、55≦β≦95、及び0<γ≦10であり、かつα+β+γ=100である)で表される組成を含有する光記録媒体である。
