  • the present invention relates to an arrangement as part of a locking mechanism in the manner of the preamble of claim 1.
  • locking mechanism is to be understood as an at least partially mechanical structure which serves to lock a movable part with respect to a fixed part.
  • espagnolette mechanism which usually closes by means of three locking elements, a bolt and two locking hooks.
  • Espagnolette mechanisms are used to lock cabinet doors.
  • Each locking mechanism can assume a locked position and an open position. In order to be able to move back and forth between these two positions, each locking mechanism has a drive which accepts a drive movement.
  • the locking mechanism converts this drive movement, usually a rotary movement over an angle of 90 °, into one or more locking element movements, the kinematics of the locking element movements being dependent on the respective locking element.

Inserting the key causes the tumblers to be drawn into the cylinder core, which releases the locking mechanism from being blocked. In some locks, the cylinder core itself serves to drive the locking mechanism, in other locks a separate drive element of the locking mechanism is blocked by means of the cylinder core.
