Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung schafft eine Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung einer definierten Umgebung für partikelförmige Proben, die ein Halteelement (22) mit einem Auflageende für eine partikelförmige Probe und eine Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen eines feuchten Gasstroms an einem Mündungsende (30) derselben, wobei das Mündungsende (30) auf das Auflageende gerichtet ist, aufweist. Die Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen des feuchten Gasstroms umfasst eine Einrichtung (44) zum Bereitstellen eines Gases, das eine erste Temperatur und eine erste relative Feuchte aufweist, so dass das Gas eine erste Taupunkttemperatur besitzt. Ferner ist ein Kühler (46) zum Abkühlen des Gases auf eine Kühlertemperatur unter Kondensation von Feuchtigkeit vorgesehen, um eine zweite Taupunkttemperatur des Gases, die der Kühlertemperatur entspricht, einzustellen. Eine Einrichtung (24,28) zum Leiten des Gases mit der zweiten Taupunkttemperatur zu dem Mündungsende (30) unter Verhinderung einer Kondensation von Feuchtigkeit aus dem Gas und eine Einrichtung zum Einstellen der relativen Feuchte des Gases an dem Mündungsende (30)durch Einstellen der Kühlertemperatur und der Temperatur des Gases an dem Mündungsende sind ferner vorgesehen.
