Abstract

La fabrication d'une feuille de cuivre de moule pour coulée continue possédant une adhérence élevée à la base de la feuille, même lorsqu'elle est utilisée réellement pour la coulée continue, et comprenant une couche de revêtement de surface possédant une résistance à l'usure excellente, pose un problème. Pour résoudre ledit problème, une couche métallique constituée d'un ou plusieurs types de métaux choisis parmi Ti, Cr, Ni, B, Si et Al forme la couche la plus à l'intérieur, sur la surface d'une base de feuille de cuivre de moule. Des couches de nitrure ou de carbure des métaux de la couche métallique ou de carbonitrure, et des couches de métaux sont alternées sur la couche métallique. Une couche de nitrure, de carbure ou de carbonitrure forme la couche la plus à l'extérieur. Les couches sont de préférence formées par dépôt physique en phase vapeur. Il est souhaitable qu'au moins la couche métallique, à savoir la couche la plus à l'intérieur, soit formée au moyen d'une tension de polarisation du coupage à l'arc.
