Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Formkörpers aus biologisch abbaubarem Material, insbesondere aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen, in einem druckthermischen Verfahren unter Einsatz von biologischen Faserstoffen, insbesondere Cellulosefasern, Wasser und Stärke, wobei ein Anteil von Amylopektin innerhalb einer Stärkefraktion nicht unter 70 Gew.-% liegt (Amylose bis zu 30%), Faserstoffe mit einem Ausmahlgrad im Bereich bis 35° in einem Anteil bezogen auf eine Trockenmasse des Gemisches von 5 Gew.-% bis 60 Gew.-% eingesetzt, und Trenn -und/oder Verdickungsmittel und/oder hydrophobierende Mittel dem Gemisch zugegeben und dieses vor dem druckthermischen Verfahren einer Misch- und/oder Knetbehandlung unterzogen wird. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner einen nach diesem Verfahren hergestellten Formkörper.
