Abstract

Bei der bekannten Aufarbeitung des bei der Chlorierung von Titanerz anfallenden Zyklonstaubes (4) erhält man einen deponiefähigen Filterkuchen (26) mit einem Trockenrückstand von über 40 % (ohne Inertanteile als Stützgerüst), unabhängig davon, ob als Rohstoff Ilmenit, Schlacke oder natürlicher oder künstlicher Rutil, bzw. Mischungen davon eingesetzt werden, wenn einer der oder eine Kombination der folgenden Verfahrensschritte durchgeführt wird: Vor der Anhebung auf einen pH-Wert von 9-12 in einem Neutralisationstank (13) wird eine schnelle Neutralisationsstufe (12) vorgeschaltet, wodurch für alle Volumenelemente der Flüssigkeit die gleichen Fällbedingungen in einem pH-Bereich von 6-9 eingehalten werden können; vor dem Eindicken wird ein (bevorzugt anionisches) erstes Flockungshilfsmittel (22) zugegeben; nach dem Eindicken wird ein (bevorzugt kationisches) Flockungshilfsmittel in den Schlamm eingemischt. Alle Massnahmen verbessern die Flockenbildung und gestalten die Aufarbeitung wirtschaftlicher.
