Definitions
- the present invention relates to a cover for office containers according to the features of claim 1.
- Office containers of this type are used, for example, in open-plan offices, halls or at trade fairs and serve to separate a room within a large room. They are created, for example, by connecting several partition walls and can have an additional sub-floor.
- the office containers are usually stationary on the ground and are usually open at the top.
- a disadvantage of such office containers is that there is no adequate upward sound insulation, so that in particular in noisy exhibition halls or open-plan offices, background noise in the office container can be heard very clearly.
- the lighting conditions in such containers are often very poor due to the unimpeded radiation upwards.
- a disadvantage of such covers is that they can only be produced at considerable costs, are relatively heavy and, because of their material properties, only result in moderate illumination of the office container. In addition, there are usually no openings in the covers, so that the air in the container is quickly used up, especially when there are several people in it.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a cover for office containers which is light, the use of which disturbing background noises are absorbed from the environment and at the same time pleasant Illumination of the room is achieved, and which at least temporarily allows air to be fed into the office container.
- the cover according to the invention has at least one membrane which is fastened at several fastening points on the side walls of the container or on the ceiling, and an opening for air passage can be produced in the area of the cover at least temporarily. This ensures that side noises and conversations from nearby areas of the surrounding large area are largely absorbed, an extremely pleasant feeling of light is generated and at the same time the possibility of fresh air supply is maintained.
- At least parts of the cover are arranged movably, so that one can always choose between absolute sound insulation and fresh air supply.
- the cover can be folded like an accordion and folded out again, so that as little space as possible is used in the folded state.
- the membrane is movable by means of a movable linkage which is attached to the container and to which the membrane is attached, whereby the membrane can always be used for covering, even in the case of movable containers.
- the membrane has at least two layers between which a suitable gas for unfolding the membrane can be introduced, whereby the weight of the overall arrangement is significantly reduced.
- FIG. 1-4 each a schematic cross section through an office container, each with a preferred embodiment of the cover according to the invention
- 5a, 5b show a schematic cross section through an office container with a further embodiment of the cover according to the invention in the open or closed state;
- 6a, 6b show a schematic cross section through an office container with a further embodiment of the cover according to the invention in the open or closed state;
- FIG. 7a, 7b show a schematic cross section through an office container with a further embodiment of the cover according to the invention in the open or closed state;
- the office container 4 shows an office container 4 with a first embodiment of the cover 1 according to the invention.
- the office container 4 consists of peripheral side walls 5 which are connected to one another in a fixed or articulated manner.
- Office containers of this type are often provided in open-plan offices, call centers and exhibition stands to divide the space into smaller units. Noise is clearly audible from the outside because of the open design.
- the cover according to the invention essentially consists of at least one membrane 2.
- the term membrane here is intended to encompass all sheets of suitable known, at least partially sound-absorbing materials and fabrics, fabrics, foils, coated fabrics, etc. Some preferred examples are provided in the description of Figures 8a-e.
- the cover 1 is made up of a membrane 2 (or more membrane sections) which is stretched on a rod or cable frame 8 and on the upper edges of the side walls 5.
- the membrane 2 can have any three-dimensional shape or run essentially horizontally.
- an opening 6 delimited by rods or ropes, through which air can escape from the container 4 and flow into it.
- Fig. 2 shows a similar embodiment of the cover 1, wherein the opening 6 can be opened mechanically by an additional mechanism made of rods or ropes.
- the membrane it is also possible, as shown in FIG. 3, to fasten the membrane to connecting rods or cables 11 which hang down from the ceiling 10.
- the outer connecting cables 11 are longer than the inner ones, so that essentially a hood shape of the membrane 2 is created.
- the detachable connection between the membrane 2 and the connecting cable 11 can be realized, for example, by hooks and eyes.
- FIG. 4 shows a cover 1, which is also fastened to the ceiling 10 and in which the membrane 2 can be lowered from a concertina-like folded state by means of a blind-like device 19. It is possible, as shown in the drawing, that the outer edges of the membrane 2 have some play to the side walls 5 of the container 4, so that permanent air supply is made possible through the openings 6 thereby achieved. However, it is also possible to completely seal the interior of the office container 4 by making the membrane dimensions smaller and by supporting the membrane on the side walls 5 or other suitable devices on the top of the container when it is lowered. When noise protection is no longer required or when fresh air is supplied If necessary, the membrane can be brought up to its original state at any time, for example by pulling it manually or by a motor.
- FIGS. 5a and 5b A further exemplary embodiment of the cover 1 according to the invention is described in FIGS. 5a and 5b.
- the membrane 2 is arranged accordionally, horizontally extendable on the upper edge of a side wall 5 of the container 4. It is carried by a linkage or rope system 12 which at the same time takes over the leadership when the cover 1 is closed.
- the folded membrane 2 is unfolded either by manual actuation or by using an appropriate motor.
- a motor is also helpful for the embodiment according to FIGS. 6a and 6b.
- rods 17 are arranged on the side edges of the container, to which the membrane 2 is fastened. If necessary, the movable linkage 17 is moved upwards until it comes into contact with the ceiling 10.
- Other mechanical arrangements are also considered here, for example a scissor linkage that can be folded in and out.
- FIGS. 5a to 7b can also be used with movable office containers 4, since they are attached directly to the container itself.
- 8a-e show some examples of the structure of the membrane used.
- the membrane 2 is constructed in two or more layers.
- the membrane consists of a fleece composite 21, in which a fleece 22 is connected, for example sewn, to a fabric 23.
- the fleece 22 instead of the fleece 22, felts, foams or other light materials can also be used. The lightness of the material allows all possible forms of the membrane.
- FIG. 8b shows a membrane composed of two such fleece composites 21, which are sewn together as individual webs at a certain distance via connecting threads 24, air being located in the intermediate space 25 between the webs.
- Such a membrane is still very light, but advantageously already allows a clear sound absorption.
- FIG. 8c shows an embodiment of a membrane similar to that in FIG. 8b, with the difference that an additional absorbing layer 26, for example a felt insert, is located in the intermediate space 25.
- the connecting threads 24 can then be dispensed with because the nonwoven composites 21 are connected directly to the felt 26, for example sewn on.
- sand 27 or another coarse-grained material can also be filled in between the outer fleece composites 21, as shown in FIG. 8d, the connection between the fleece composites 21 then having to be made, for example, by very strongly anchored, thick threads 30, to withstand the weight of the filled material.
- thicker webs such as z-shaped ones
- the outer layer should be light-reflecting in order to provide ideal illumination of the room.
- the membrane is made of translucent material, at least in some areas.
- fluoropolymers offer a light transmission of up to 95% in the visible range combined with a low refractive index.
- the direct light rays are optimally converted into scattered light on the structure of the fabric.
- the result is a very evenly distributed scattered light with little shadow formation.
- the membrane can consist, for example, of two transparent material webs 28, which are connected as in Fig. 8d, and between which small transparent glass or plastic elements 29 are filled, as shown in Fig. 8e ,
- the present invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown.
- Other combinations of the above-mentioned substances and other suitable materials that have the required properties can be used here.
- the properties of the membrane can also be changed by coatings, for example by metallization.
