Indeed, to assemble both the flat mirror 11 and the curved-convex mirror 12, it is required that the elastomer edge 6 be at a sufficiently high temperature that allows the edge of the mirror 11 or 12 to be introduced into the perimeter groove of fixation 10.
- the elastic properties of the elastomeric material are such that, upon contraction by cooling of the edge 6, the mirror 11 or 12 is fixed to the mirror holder plate 1, indicating at this point that whether a mirror is used plane 11 as if a curved convex mirror 12 is used, by introducing one or the other of the mirrors 11 and 12 the fins 9 are elastically deformed, producing such deformation a clamping action against the internal face of the mirror, intended to avoid given vibrations due to the driving conditions of the vehicle.

Abstract
L'invention concerne une plaque porte-miroir comprenant une partie centrale (4) pourvue d'organes (13) de fixation d'un mécanisme de réglage de position de la plaque par rapport au châssis-carcasse du rétroviseur extérieur, et une partie périphérique (5) pourvue d'organes de fixation d'un miroir. La partie centrale (4) est faite d'un plastique quelconque, de préférence du polypropylène, alors que le bord extérieur (6) au moins de la partie périphérique (5) est en élastomère. Les organes (9, 10) de fixation permettent de monter un miroir plat (10) ou un miroir convexe (12) indistinctement. La présente invention s'applique à l'industrie automobile.
