Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an arrangement for a building made of sheet metal which is bent in a single piece comprising walls and a roof.
  • Transverse bending of profiled metal sheets to produce buildings is previously disclosed, although only in a limited number of embodiments.
  • SE 511046 C2 according to which the sheets are secured by clamping or casting to base elements erected in the longitudinal extent of the intended building.
  • the aforementioned previously disclosed method is primarily applicable to buildings in which the walls extend essentially vertically and accordingly is not as good for buildings in which the walls extend at an inclined angle outwards from the roof of the building.
  • the principal object of the present invention is thus, in the first instance, to solve the aforementioned problem by simple and effective means.
  • the aforementioned object is achieved by means of an arrangement in accordance with the present invention, which is characterized essentially in that the lower edge section of the respective wall section is held secured in the upward-facing wall-accommodating opening of a profile rail, and in that the opposite end of the aforementioned profile rail is executed in such a way as to be retained in its intended erection position.

  • An arrangement 1 for a building 2, in which the main part of the building consists of sheet metal which is bent in a single piece comprising walls 3, 4 and a roof 5, comprises a rail-like attachment profile 6 preferably made of metal, to which the lower edge section 3A, 4A of the respective wall section 3, 4 is attached. More specifically, the aforementioned attachment profile rail 6 exhibits an upward-facing accommodating opening 7 at one end, in which the lower edge section 3A, 4A of the respective wall is accommodated and secured, for example by screwing using self- tapping screws 8, as shown in Fig. 18, for example. The other opposing end 9 of the aforementioned profile rail is so executed as to be capable of being retained securely in its intended erection position 10.
  • Figs. 16- 20 Various illustrative embodiments of such a design of an end 9 executed with an anchorage are shown in Figs. 16- 20, and these examples form a group in which the profile rail 6 designed for the purpose of anchoring the lower edge 3A, 4A of the wall section exhibits a bent enclosing part 12 open in a downward direction 11. This enclosing part 12 is indented to engage around a support 13 erected on the ground, such as a wall 13A, a sill 13B or some other beam 13C designed with an adapted form.
  • the profile rails 6 can be secured by means of screws 75, 76 to the intended support 13 or weight 16.
  • FIG. 17-18 Another example of a design of an attachment profile rail 6 1 for the purpose of the secure anchoring of the lower edge of the wall section is shown in Figs. 17-18 and in this case comprises a bent channel 15 open in a direction upwards 14, which is adapted for the accommodation of an appropriate guantity of stabilizing material 16 therein, such as concrete, sand or stone, etc.
  • Fig. 15 also shows an example of how a pile hook 17 is attached to a totally inverted attachment profile rail 6 2 in holes 18 arranged in the inner accommodating opening 7 of the rail for a wall 4, and a weight 19 of appropriate size is inserted into the inner accommodating part 20 of the pile hook 17. All the examples shown permit effective securing of the building even in high winds.

  • no capillary suction is created in the area of the lower sections 3A, 4A of the wall, which is important since the aforementioned profile rails 6, 6 1 for the attachment also function as a channel for leading away rainwater.
