Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de déterminer à quel moment répondre à une communication de données en paquets entrante émise par une station de base dans un réseau de communication sans fil. Le système comprend un système de communication (MT2) servant d'interface avec le réseau de communication sans fil ; et un terminal (TE2) relié électroniquement au dispositif de communication conçu pour émettre et recevoir des données en paquets. Le dispositif de communication (MT2) répond (530) à une communication de données en paquets entrante émise par la station de base après avoir détecté un signal de commande ou une information de commande indiquant l'état stable du terminal. L'indicateur de stabilité du terminal peut comprendre des signaux de commande tels que l'état haut d'un signal indiquant l'état prêt pour l'émission de données ou la transition de l'état bas vers l'état haut du signal indiquant l'état prêt pour l'émission de données à la après qu'un signal indicateur de sonnerie a été activé afin d'avertir l'abonné d'un appel entrant. L'indicateur d'état prêt peut également comprendre des informations de commandes telles qu'un signal indicateur de données en paquets transmises en protocole point-à-point (PPP), noyées dans le flux de données produites par le terminal, ou d'autres informations indiquant qu'un paquet PPP a été transmis par le terminal.
