Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de détection de protocole et de messages de configuration dans un paquet PPP ne nécessitant pas le retrait du cadre de l'ensemble du paquet. Le procédé comprend un dispositif de communication (MT2) qui reçoit une pluralité de trames de données (S306) et qui est conçu pour contrôler le début d'une portion (S305) d'informations dans les trames reçues. Le dispositif de communication détermine si la portion d'informations contient des informations de configuration, telles que le protocole et les messages de configuration de type prédéterminé. Dans un premier mode de réalisation, le dispositif de communication effectue la détection en retenant (S315) le contenu d'une pluralité d'octets et en déterminant (S325, S330, S335) si les octets échappés contiennent les informations de configuration désirées. Dans un second mode de réalisation, le dispositif de communication détermine si le contenu d'un octet particulier présente les informations de configuration désirées, sous une forme échappée ou retenue, le dispositif poursuit alors le traitement des octets par séquences dans ladite portion d'informations jusqu'à ce que les octets contenant généralement les informations de configuration désirées soient traités.
