Abstract

Cette invention concerne un alliage à base de zirconium qui comprend les éléments suivants: de 0,5 à 3,0 % en poids de niobium; de 0,5 à 2,0 % en poids d'étain; de 0,3 à 1,0 % en poids de fer; de 0,002 à 0,2 % en poids de chrome; de 0,003 à 0,04 % en poids de carbone; de 0,04 à 0,15 % en poids d'oxygène; de 0,002 à 0,15 % en poids de silicium; de 0,001 à 0,4 % en poids de tungstène ou de molybdène ou de vanadium; le reste se composant de zirconium. La structure de cet alliage se caractérise en ce qu'elle possède un état de dureté α, et en ce qu'elle contient des particules de composés intermétalliques contenant du fer et du niobium et de type Zr(Nb, Fe)2. La structure de cet alliage peut également comprendre des particules de composés intermétalliques contenant du fer et du niobium et de type Zr[Nb, Fe (W ou Mo, ou V)]2, Zr[Fe, Cr, Nb, (W, ou Mo, ou V)]2, [Zr, Nb, (W, ou Mo, ou V)]2Fe, Zr(Fe, Cr, Nb)2 ou (Zr, Nb)2Fe dont la taille ne dépasse pas 0,3 νm.
