- a floating rope is known from EP 0 666 364 A2, the core of which is made of foamed plastic material and the sheath of which is formed by textile threads which are attached to the core in the form of a rope lay.
- This floating rope has high rigidity, a small bending radius as well has a large thickness and is not suitable for the cost-effective production of a buoyant textile fabric.
- WO 97/09481 discloses a floating rope, the core of which consists of a central nylon rope on which a large number of buoyancy elements, consisting of foamed plastic and so-called buffer elements, are arranged.
- the outer sheath of the floating rope is formed by a protective layer made of polyurethane.
- DE 36 34 307 AI discloses a textile fabric which contains a basic knitted fabric made of warp threads which are shaped into wales. The wales are connected by weft threads. On one side of the basic knitted fabric, a pattern thread is laid weft-like and according to the pattern. At least in sections, the pattern thread is connected to the basic knitted fabric by means of at least one wale from an auxiliary warp thread. This structure creates a new, varied pattern of the textile fabric.
- Floatable ropes are already described in DE-OS 17 60 535, which require an additional core made of parallel threads, which, together with floating components, is encased by a relatively dense mesh or fabric structure. The production can therefore only take place with a relatively low productivity. Furthermore, floating ropes are also known in which roller-shaped floating bodies are lined up on the rope.
- a rope and knit-like product is also known from DD (WP) 11 64 79, which is preferably used for the construction industry for compacting joints and for other areas of application, such as floating lines. With this rope structure, the floating filler material is surrounded by a mesh cover made of threads.
