- an injection device with a housing in which a container for holding an injection liquid is arranged to be longitudinally displaceable, at the proximal end of which an injection needle can be detachably fastened, with a spring which is assigned a releasable locking member to lock this spring in a tensioned position, and with a tensioning element which can be inserted into the proximal end of the housing in order to displace the longitudinally displaceable container in the distal direction and thereby to bring the spring into a tensioned position.
- the use of a tendon which is inserted into the proximal end of the housing and thereby moves the container into a tensioned position results in simple operation. At the same time, the tendon can serve as a cover cap to protect the mechanics of the injection device against contamination.
- the contact between the tendon and the container is designed such that the spring can be locked in the tensioned position when the needle is mounted, but not when no needle is mounted. It is achieved in this way that the spring cannot be locked in the tensioned position without a needle, so that subsequent triggering of an injection by releasing the locking member is also not possible. This reminds the patient that he has to insert a new needle, because without this he cannot tighten the device and therefore cannot make a "sham injection".

If a tensioning member 40 is now inserted into the proximal end of the housing 12 for tensioning the injection device, as is particularly clearly shown in FIG. 1, a central hollow cylindrical section 42 of the tensioning member 40 lies with its distal end 44 against the Holder 24 on and moves this and the cartridge holder 14 in the distal direction.

- the adjusting device 46 (FIG. 2) is displaced less far in the distal direction, so that according to FIG. 3 the locking button 52 cannot snap into the locking opening 54, ie in this case, the injection device 10 cannot be locked in its cocked position, and an injection is not possible.
