Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une nouvelle protéine présentant une activité de liaison à l'oxystérol. Elle concerne notamment un gène osbh qui code pour une nouvelle protéine OSBH présentant une activité de liaison à l'oxystérol et que l'on obtient par clonage à partir d'une banque d'ADNc provenant du cerveau humain. Il est possible de produire une protéine OSBH en cultivant un produit de transformation construit au moyen d'un vecteur d'expression contenant le gène décrit ci-dessus. Ladite protéine peut être utilisée en tant que protéine de liaison à l'oxystérol dans des médicaments ou pour le développement de médicaments.
