Abstract

Die integrierte Sender-Empfänger-Schaltung (Transceiver), die in Form zweier komplementärer Typen für ein optisches Duplexsystem mit zwei in entgegengesetzten Richtungen über eine Lichtleitfaser zu übertragenden Lichtwellen mit unterschiedlichen Betriebswellenlängen vorgesehen ist, weist eine wellenlängenunabhängige optische Weiche in Form einer aus Wellenleiterpfaden gebildeten Y-Struktur auf, wobei der erste Pfad der Weiche als Verbindungswellenleiter zwischen der Lichtleitfaser und den beiden anderen Pfaden ausgebildet ist, der zweite Pfad zu dem Sendelaser führt, der jeweils dem komplementären Typ entsprechend auf die zugehörige Betriebswellenlänge ausgelegt ist, und der dritte Pfad zu einer Photodetektoranordnung mit zwei optisch in Reihe liegenden, jeweils auf eine der beiden Betriebswellenlängen ausgelegte und elektrisch voneinander unabhängige Photodetektorsektionen führt, von denen die für die kleinere Betriebswellenlänge ausgebildete Photodetektorsektion zwischen der Weiche und der für die größere Betriebswellenlänge ausgebildeten Photodetektorsektion angeordnet ist.
