Definitions
- the invention relates to a stabilizer for the front axle or the rear axle of a motor vehicle, with a - straight or curved - stabilizer bar and with partially spherical connecting heads provided on both ends of the stabilizer bar.
- the stabilizer bar generally has a circular cross section or an annular cross section. So it is a full stabilizer or a tube stabilizer (with a tubular stabilizer bar).
- the ends of the stabilizer bar are provided with an internal thread and the connection heads are provided with a screw-in bolt, the screw-in bolt of the connection heads having an external thread corresponding to the internal thread of the ends of the stabilizer bar; the connection heads are screwed into the ends of the stabilizer bar. Because of the need to cut threads several times, this is relatively complex.
- the stabilizer bar on the one hand and the connection heads on the other hand are regularly separate components, which are often also manufactured by different companies.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a stabilizer of the type in question which is less complex, in particular less complex to manufacture.
- connection heads are integrally connected to the ends of the stabilizer rod.
- This integral connection of the connection heads with the ends of the stabilizer bar can be realized in different ways.
- connection heads are screwed onto the ends of the stabilizer bar. It may be advisable to hammer the ends of the stabilizer rod before turning on the connection heads.
- connection heads are upset at the ends of the stabilizer bar.
- connection heads In the two possibilities of realizing the cohesive connection of the connection heads with the ends of the stabilizer rod, a stabilizer rod is assumed which, with the same effective length, is longer by the length of the two connection heads than the stabilizer rod of the stabilizer from which the invention is based.
- the connection heads are made from the additional material at both ends of the stabilizer bar.
- connection heads are welded to the ends of the stabilizer bar.
- the connection heads are preferably connected to the ends of the stabilizer bar by friction welding or by magnetic arc welding.
- the stabilizer rod is tubular and which is initially and essentially characterized in that the connection heads are provided with insertion ends and are inserted with their insertion ends into the ends of the stabilizer bar.
- the insertion ends of the connection heads are preferably cylindrical, in particular circular cylindrical.
- the insertion ends of the attachments end heads with the ends of the stabilizer bar pressed. But there is also the possibility of connecting the insertion ends of the connection heads to the ends of the stabilizer rod by means of rollers.
- the diameter of the stabilizer bar is larger than the diameter of the part-spherical connection heads at their connection surfaces facing the ends of the stabilizer bar. It is therefore advisable to implement a conical transition between the connection heads and the ends of the stabilizer bar.
- FIG. 1 shows an end region of a first exemplary embodiment of a stabilizer according to the invention
- FIG. 2 shows an end region of a second exemplary embodiment of a stabilizer according to the invention
- Fig. 3 shows an end region of a third embodiment of a stabilizer according to the invention.
- Fig. 4 shows an end region of a fourth embodiment of a stabilizer according to the invention.
- the figures show - only partially - a stabilizer as used for the front axle or the rear axle of motor vehicles.
- To the stabilizer include a, in all figures only partially, namely only with one end region, shown, straight or curved stabilizer bar 1 and at the two ends of the stabilizer bar 1 provided, partially spherical connection heads 2.
- the stabilizer bar 1 has in the training example according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 4 is a circular cross section; these stabilizers are so-called full stabilizers.
- the stabilizer bar 1 has an annular cross section; there is therefore a tubular stabilizer bar 1 and consequently a so-called tube stabilizer.
- the stabilizers in question are used for the front axle and / or the rear axle of a motor vehicle.
- the stabilizers are connected to the front axle and / or the rear axle of a motor vehicle via so-called connection elements.
- connection elements include, which is only shown in FIG. 1, respectively. H. on both sides of the stabilizer, a stabilizer end connection element 3, an axle connection element 4 and a coupling rod 5 connecting the stabilizer end connection element 3 and the axle connection element 4 and made of steel or plastic.
- the stabilizer end connection element 3 includes an inner plastic bearing 3a, a bellows 3b serving to seal between the stabilizer end and the plastic bearing 3a, and an outer bearing bush 3c made of steel and made of steel and connected to the coupling rod 5.
- the bellows 3b is fastened on both sides, specifically in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 at the stabilizer end by a spring band clamp 3d and on the inner plastic bearing 3a by a spring ring 3e.
- the axle connection element 4 includes an outer bearing bush 4a made of steel and connected to the coupling rod 5, an inner rubber or plastic bearing 4b arranged in the outer bearing bush 4a and an inner bearing with the inner rubber or plastic bearing 4b connected axle connection element 4c.
- the connection head 2 serves to connect the stabilizer to the stabilizer end connection element 3, namely the connection head 2 is mounted in the inner plastic bearing 3a of the stabilizer end connection element 3 — rotatable on all sides.
- connection heads 2 are integrally connected to the ends of the stabilizer bar 1.
- connection heads 2 are screwed to the ends of the stabilizer bar 1. 1 and 4 that the ends of the stabilizer bar 1 can be hammered before the connection heads 2 are turned on. It is also not shown that the connection heads 2 can be upset at the ends of the stabilizer bar 1.
- connection heads 2 are welded to the ends of the stabilizer rod 1.
- the connection heads 2 can be connected to the ends of the stabilizer bar 1 by friction welding or by magnetic arc welding.
- connection heads 2 are provided with insertion ends 6 and their insertion ends 6 are inserted into the ends of the - tubular - stabilizer rod 1. As shown in FIG. 3, the insertion ends 6 of the connection heads 2 are circular cylindrical in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the insertion ends of the connection heads can be pressed with the ends of the stabilizer rod, which is not shown. Rather, an embodiment is shown in Fig. 3, in which the insertion ends 6 of the connection heads 2 are connected by rollers to the ends of the stabilizer rod 1. 3 it can be seen that the end of the stabilizer bar 1 is a material displacement 7 by rolling has experienced and that thereby a positive connection has been achieved between the end of the stabilizer rod 1 and the insertion end 6 of the connection head 2.
- the diameter of the stabilizer rod 1 is larger than the diameter of the part-spherical connecting heads 2 at their connecting surfaces facing the ends of the stabilizer rod 1. Therefore, a conical transition 9 is realized in each of the exemplary embodiments between the connection heads 2 and the ends of the stabilizer bar 1.
- FIG. 4 shows a preferred embodiment of a stabilizer according to the invention, as a circumferential groove 10 is realized between the connection heads 2 and the ends of the stabilizer bar 1.
- connection heads 2 have to be surface-treated in such a way that perfect cooperation of each connection head 2 of the stabilizer with the inner plastic bearing 3a of the associated stabilizer end connection element 3 is ensured for many years.
