Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Erfassen und Dokumentieren von Katalysatorschäden aufgrund von kritischen Füllstandswerten im Tank (10) eines Kraftfahrzeugs mit einer Brennkraftmaschine (12), die mittels eines Füllstandsmeßmittels (9) erfaßt werden, vorgeschlagen, bei dem von dem Füllstandsmeßmittel erfaßte kritische Füllstandswerte von einer Schaltungsanordnung (4) erkannt, von einer Störleuchte (1) angezeigt und zusammen mit dem Betriebszustand der Störleuchte in einem Speicher (8) als Speicherinformation abgespeichert werden, bei dem Verbrennungsaussetzer der Brennkraftmaschine erkannt und in dem Speicher als weitere Speicherinformationen abgespeichert werden, und bei dem die Speicherinformationen bei gleichzeitigem Vorhandensein von Verbrennungsaussetzern sowie durch die Störleuchte angezeigten kritischen Füllstandswerten in dem Speicher verknüpft werden, so daß beim späteren Auslesen dieser verknüpften Speicherinformationen festgestellt werden kann, ob die Verbrennungsaussetzer auf einem kritischen Füllstandswert beruhten.
