- the present innovation relates to a freewheel cage made of an injection-moldable or pourable polymeric material, which is arranged between two concentric metallic machine parts and has pockets for clamping elements formed by axial webs and at least one end section adjoining them, which have mutually facing clamping tracks of the machine parts are spring-loaded, the end section being positively connected to at least one metallic reinforcement ring which is concentric with the machine parts and whose coefficient of thermal expansion essentially corresponds to that of the machine parts, and wherein at least one sliding surface assigned to the freewheel cage and provided on its circumference is provided for a cylinder surface of one of the machine parts is.

- the reinforcement ring is intended to prevent the freewheel cage from either having too great a radial play as a result of a thermal expansion different from that of the machine parts, or from undesired friction with one of the machine parts.
- its thermal expansion is hindered both in the U as well as in the radial direction.
- An expedient further development according to the invention consists in that the reinforcement ring is inserted into grooves in the segments, each segment and the reinforcement ring being provided with recesses or projections which engage in one another in a form-fitting manner.
